I don't consider it to be. I'm assuming you're regarding your MPL-boat (with a LPL or so thrown in)? MPLs are tough to use considering their short range.

I respect anyone using lasers as their primary weapons. They have to remain very steady on a target in order to concentrate damage (especially at range). Which means they have to expose themselves far longer than the PPC/AC meta. So to pull that off and survive in this environment is commendable. This includes the RVN and CDA-ECM snipers. Yeah they have the advantage that they can get in a strike or two first before being spotted .. but they are also driving machines that can just about be one-shotted so they have to be good at shooting and scooting.

Well played builds regardless of 'how cheesy' it is.

I respect when lights run in packs like they should.

I respect a missle boat doing its job like it should. A Vulture/Catapult dont deserve to be in the fray until their ammo is gone.

I respect Heavies that see mediums or lights getting in the fight and they come in with a rush to soak up damage like a champ.

I respect the snipers that do a great job at being 'unseen', this includes poptarts.

To me it is not about the cheese of the game, the tatics that everyone hates, boats, poptarts, what other cheese name we can think of. Fact of the matter is, the BT Universe is filled with specific roll mechs, they do allow for some afterthought to survive more than one match or a few minutes of fighting...but in the end plenty of mechs serve a purpose without being the jack of all trades. I could name over a dozen if not more.

I think what causes people to not like certain tactics is that current game mechanics because they were implimented poorly from Lore/CBT/TT have caused them to become "Cheese" masters that irk you under the skin. Whether it be low skill to high reward ratio, or that they seem to sneak kills....in the end there will always be cheese.
