6 U-AC/5s should leave enough room for 1,200 dmg worth of ammo. That's gotta be enough, even for a 100 tonner.

But doesnt change the fact its a dumb build, because when you run out of ammo (and you will), you have absolutely no weapons left. Which is why a mix of ballistic and energy works the best.

I've run quad AC/5 builds with less. It works fine.

Also, you can trade 2 tons of ammo for 2 er medium lasers, and still have a good amount.

You do realize that AC/5s have half the fire rate of UAC/5s? Right? So you need more ammo.

Quad AC5 uses 4 shots per 1.67 seconds

Hex UAC5 will use 12 shots per 1.67 seconds.

The ammo consumption rate is three times greater (slightly less if CUACs jam) You will run out of ammo. So why not just drop a UAC5 and take energy weapons? Since CERML are amazing weapons anyway, youre not really losing anything by doing that. Mix of ballistic and energy is what the Daishi was designed for.

But things will die twice as fast!

1200 damage is alot, I feel it'll be enough for most matches.

I dont know anyone with 100% accuracy though. Even if you have a fairly decent 60% accuracy with UAC5s, thats only 720 damage. So why put an upper cap on how much damage you can do? Plus theres always the chance of your team losing because youre still alive with no weapons.
