40,000 CBills. One time use similar to arty, airstrike, and UAV. The smoke screen obscures visual detection within 180 meters around the mech using it or it can be delivered like arty/airstrike (maybe 500 meter range from mech deploying it) affecting an area of 180 meters. Duration lasts 20-30 seconds. Does not effect night vision, thermal vision, or UAV detection. It might add a nice wrinkle to the game and smoke screens have been used in wars past and present to obscure troop movements. Thoughts?

Decent idea, though it might really tax lower end PCs due to the effects. People will complain of even more lag.

Oh and it should affect night vision.

I like it. It should affect night vision though.

Problem is as Bandito said it'd tax lower end computers. Add to that the Cry Engine is actually awful with particles. The cluster of smoke effects in game are mainly textures in very limited yet overlapping amounts.

I'd personally enjoy it.

It should effect IR and night vision. Smoke Screens can be made to put off a LOT of heat and that could white out an IR sensor.

Good Idea! I like the information warfare aspect to it.

So what if it did effect low end systems? If your having low FPS then it might be a HINT that its TIME TO UPGRADE that POS you call a computer!

Seriously, I hate the people that try and force company's to lower there standards just so they can play on a computer that should of been upgraded 3 years ago. If it can't be upgraded because you have reached the limit of the mobo, then its time to rebuild the thing, and what better incentive then wanting to play this new fangled game at the beautiful settings, rather then the cartoon settings.

P.S: Thank god for Star Citizen who is doing exactly that, making a game for uber high end computers and is not compromising on anything.

PGI is set on to catering the masses, that they even lowered the general mech and effect graphic of MWO when compared to CB. So nothing you say to the contrary will mean anything.

Great idea.

Imagine this scenario: bunch of dragonslayers cresting behind a hill, popping out for the occasional shot. Your brawlergroup lays down a smokescreen and charges through it - they wont see you untill it's too late. It would be a gamechanger, but for the better, imo.

Yep, imagine if people put multiple smokes...even higher end PCs will lag then.
