Lights need additional ways to earn CB and XP. Some Lights are certainly better than others, especially true for Lights with EMC (more survivable etc.). However, it seems to me that there is less incentive to play lights when the roles ideally suited for lights are basically not rewarded with CB and XP at the same rate as the other classes of mechs. Scouting etc. needs to be rewarded better please.

Also, for me the Locust needs a lot of help, just doesn't survive for me very well.

Thanks for your consideration.

I agree, spotting assists, counter ECM/ECM, TAG and NARC bonuses should be increased on light chassis.

Personally, I have a higher W/L and KDR with the Jenner then any other mech. I generally consider it the best mech I own, and only my 'meta-mechs' are even close. My computer doesn't have as good of a framerate as I would like, or the Jenner would likely surpass even my meta-mechs by a large margin.

my favorite mechs are the Jenner, Spider, Firestarter and Cicada, it is just more enjoyable for me to pilot lights, however it is far easier to earn cbills in a heavier chassis. I prefer the role of scout/harrasser although also often play a support role providing ECM/AMS/anti harrasser cover to the heavier mechs

I will usually do somewhere between 100 and 400 damage in a light while in a heavy or assault I will usually get 300-600 damage, I generally get more assists and kills in a light than a heavier mech.

I agree is is far easier to earn cbils/xp in heavier mechs as rewards are heavily weighted in favor of damage and kill related bonuses, something which a light is by the nature of not carrying as much weaponry less likely to excel at.

in conquest a light Mech can be instrumental in your teams victory by capping points while the rest of the team is fighting but the lights will earn very little for winning you the match while the enemy fighting mechs who all die and loose the match will earn far more, add to this that capping is hardly the most enjoyable activity in game and you can see why lights are less popular than other weight classes

please do ether increase value of things like spotting assists, capture assists ect. or add some new light/medium mech bonuses perhaps along the lines of:
1/4 cbill & xp for each second spent capping
a bonus worth of simular value to a kill for bringing a point/enemy base to full cap for your team (split between all mechs that had been standing on the point for more than 10 seconds when it hits full),
a bonus worth 50% of the damage caused by teammates guided missiles to a mech while you had it taged/narced

you need to practice the locust then. Can survive just fine

i don't know what other classes average but as a light only player I feel like I average 125,000 bills per round and maybe 800xp a round (without X2 for first win)

Nice. What techniques do you use to stay alive and do so well on XP? What weapons, speed etc.
