I have seen a couple of Q & A things now with a ton of topics, except for what I feel is the most important ones. How is PGI going to handle the Clans? Are we going to get faction tags, home worlds are they going to start out with only the four clans from cannon. Are they going to give every Clan a shot at being an invasion Clan. Do the Clans have enough people in them to even invade properly? I know as of right now Clan Coyote Omega Galaxy has 151 members,we are filling out our third Cluster and happily growing daily. We are hoping that since it seems Canon has fallen a bit with time lines and such, that we have a shot at being an invasion Clan. I know most of us can only speculate as to what PGI will do and frankly with us getting our mechs finally they have begun to make us happy. I am a optimist and I cannot wait until this fall when version one of Community Warfare arrives,So maybe one of the devs will read this and throw us a bone.

The biggest factor for the Clans is that the FoTM crowd won't jump on the Clan bandwagon if Clan tech isn't OP. And from my point of view, that's a good thing. It might hurt numbers a bit, but the Clans were always more about quality versus quantity anyway.

While Community Warfare will have some impact on player #s for both IS and Clans, ultimately it'll be leagues that have the largest impact because they add a purpose beyond just c-bill grinding and team deathmatch.

Anyway, there are some Clan units out and about playing MWO that can trace their roots all the way back to when MW multiplayer first appeared. Some even have the same leadership and core members, making them the oldest MW units of all time.

Actually they did mention it a LONG time ago. Only the Big Four are active & recognized right now. If you want to be in the invasion, it will have to be as an auxiliary. Sorry.

Really,I am not sure about the Ghost bears numbers, but I have spoken to some people in other Clans. I am not sure that if given home worlds they would be able to hold them, let alone launch an invasion. I am not trying to be mean, but their numbers are not many. This is why I posed this question last night.

If they gave Clan Nova Cat a forum subsection all our own... what use would we have for it? Same for Steel Viper, if they even exist anymore, or Diamond Shark, if certain members of that Clan are done trying to push an international lawsuit against PGI/IGP (if Reddit is to be believed). Honestly, the designated subsections for any Clan seems excessive, and just loads things in favor of the four for recruitment purposes.

Having said that, the concept art for all the Clan mechs when first revealed had all SEVEN of the invading clan Alpha Galaxy colors: Smoke Jaguar, Wolf, Jade Falcon, Ghost Bear, Steel Viper, Diamond Shark, and Nova Cat. With logos. Even though someone at PGI done goofed on the Nova Cat colors.... (Fades to BLACK, not WHITE!)

Representation of at least the 7, therefore, is not totally out of the question. I would love to see a total restructuring of the Clan subsection, however.

Whawhawha? Seriously? For what, not pandering to their childish demands /not caving in to their raging entitlement? Or does someone actually have something tangible this time?

For all I care they can add as many clan subfora as they want, it won`t really change much if anything....

I am not naming names, and I refuse to make assumptions on his exact reasoning. I will say trying to get an international lawsuit on a company from a consumer protection standpoint is laughably difficult. Our laws are not their laws, plus I believe you need to satisfy the laws in both countries....

By the time you deal with legal fees, you end up spending way, way, unreasonably way more on that then what you lost initially, and stand to gain almost nothing. Frivolous lawsuits like this make me sad to be raised in the US, seeing as we are portrayed as lawsuit happy as is. :\

What I cannot understand is, if a game and developer are clearly not making you happy, why even bother playing the game anymore? Instead, people get angrier and angrier and angrier to the point where their emotions completely overshadow their logic.

Donno about you, but I have way better things to worry about than some game company's practices in the land of Mounties and Maple Syrup. :)

We currently sit, as a touman around 90 members. We have some that have been moved to inactive status, though we currently sit at 5 trinaries and are about to open a 6th Trinary.

We actually braked our recruitment efforts a bit. We were at around 40, but a third went inactive from MWO. We took the opportunity to reinforce the familiar feeling within the Clan. Huge numbers are good and all, but too many too fast and you lose the individuals and exchange them for numbers. Not a direction I want us to go.

We have gained members in a steady stream, which has, thankfully, not overwhelmed our training systems in place. So, our warrior caste has grown steadily.

Plus, a heavily active officer corps has really helped with solidifying things with good leadership and camaraderie has been maintained well among our members. We have had few incidents, and very few who have had any issues, those were all mostly minor things that were easily dealt with internally.

Overall things have gone so smoothly for us that it has literally been a wonderful experience. We have massive amounts of players buying into what we are trying to accomplish.

Indeed, a good solution could be further dividing player units on a Cluster basis.

That just ends up snagging on two points. One, creates unnecessary segregation among the Clan. Two, proper independent clusters will require more consistently active pilots in each cluster. The first one makes it an option we dislike. The second makes it implausible to currently implement - however we have been hoping to light a fire under LeoTib's ass to get to recruiting EU time zone pilots as the entire purpose behind the 37th Assault Cluster was to be for EU or non-NA Prime players.

The advantage would be that there would be more of the family feeling you describe. With the proper organization there would be no segregation: for example, there might be 3 or 4 Clan Nova Cat units and they all share a TS server, but they are managed indipendently. Sure, this could create more issues, but it is just an idea. I actually like both the family aspects of smaller units and the advantages of a big one

Ahah, next time i see the lazy LeoTib i will remind him of his duty to Clan Nova Cat :D

CGB finds that the system of ToP tends to weed out those sibkin that are not as interested.

CGB I would say is 5 Clusters, each cluster has min a trinary. I would estimate roughly 50+ active members, 75-100 total that log on to our site. I am also including sibkin, as we treat them as part of the family from the start.

We just do not need to use our subforum when we have our own website forum.

Based on the clan colors provided by the social rewards i think it's only going to be the invading clans represented. Although IGN does have all 20 clans listed on there MWO page so maybe they know something that we don't. Then again their is no St Ives, perphicay states, or Comstar factions as of now. So i have little hope that they will put in all the clans rather they will just have clans that take apart in the invasion. I could be wrong though....

Still all clans are present on the Dire Wolf jumpship as guest of Ikhan Leo Showers, so it's not like the homeworld clans aren't there. And the Nova Cats capture a world before they were activated (of course leo showers warn them not to do it again until they were activated but they can't be blame for the fact that Clan Wolf allowed them to invade a planet)

But it would be awesome if it was like the original FASA game were you could pick every faction (about 100 of them in total) in the BT universe. I think if your a homeworld clan your going to be occupied fighting in the homeworlds as several clans decide to throw a temper tanturm after not getting into operation revival. Ice Hellion attacks hell's horse, Coyote attacks Star Adder and later Snow Raven. So it's not like the homeworld clans won't be doing anything at this time

not to mention a lot of inactive people will show back up for clans even if it is just to take a look

On the 17th, I would not hold your breath for any features other than that clan mechs + rewards and maybe selectable clan factions (for Jade Falcon, Wolf, Ghost Bear and Smoke Jaguar).

Edit* Just saw the previous post, can select on the 3rd! Seyla!

Just noticed that Russ said July 3rd, I hope that was a mistake.
