Figures this occurs a week after I ground out two Firestarters and got a cash Ember, aaarghh!

Mystery Meat coulda saved me tons, nice way to get started for those who haven't gotten theirs yet.

The sale on these "Mastery Packs" is the best I've seen outside of pre-ordering Founders/Phoenix/Clans. Just saying.

When I first glanced at it, I thought I saw Mystery Pack and thought who'd buy a packed without knowing what's in it?

Otherwise, interesting packs for those looking to master a specific Chassis and don't mind dropping the cash.

I don't believe they're advertising the existence of the packs but the instead the 50% discount on the packs.

The packs themselves are a 50% discount on the regular MC price. The original pricing of the packs had the Stalker Pack being about the price of the Misery, so the Stalker Pack was an amazing deal.

Also, being as there is no stated deadline or date this is more of an announcement of the Pack's existence rather than limited timed discount on the packs, which are a discount in of themselves.

That, or I'm having a reading comprehension failure in the meaning of your post.

I have 2, so I can use SHS and 3 x gauss on one permanently, and the other for DHS and regular builds.

Well at least it wasn't that bad of a slap to the face. Maybe the packs are limited time bundles? I mean if these packs stay around forever and continue to propagate, why buy the hero or champion at full price...ever? I know most don't buy the champions at full price, but still.

Time value of money?

Personally, I have 0 regret about buying Ember day 1.

There's also a slightly false economy in these. Many wouldn't ever buy the champs (or statues), wouldn't buy the regular mech for MC, etc. 50% off is only 50% off if you would have bought everything included anyway. (This is my exact problem with clan packs as I'm looking at 2/3 of Phoenix rotting in my garage).

None of those have champions, so not real soon, I'd guess. Personally, an Orion pack might get me.
