A lot of Clan mechs have their weapons concentrated in the arms slots...
So it should be relatively easy to concentrate fire on the arms and make them (relatively) useless, right?

This may end up being one of the tradeoffs that balances the clan mechs. We'll just have to see.

I can (probably) count the number of times I have been disarmed in my TDK on one hand.
Yes it is going to be an issue - but (probably) not that much of one.

On the flip side, my Loup de Guerre loses arms like a ninety-pound nerdboy weakling in a pro arm wrestling tournament most any time I take it out. It's depressing.
Hitboxes will determine much, as will the availability of backup torso-mounted weaponry. Some chassis may be easily disarmed, and some may wind up able to keep their guns intact just fine. We won't really know until the blasted things get here.

yes trebs are infamous for getting de armed, but they do soak alot of damage, and they are smaller than they used to be so that is good.

It's not like Clan mechs can't mount weapons in their torsos. The Adder and Stormcrow can mount both energy and missiles, the Dire Wolf, Kit Fox, and Nova can fit all sorts of ballistics, and the Timber Wolf has more selections than anything. Really the only one that might have a problem is the Warhawk.

Does this topic really belong in the "guides" section...?

Dont really think it will be an issue as if mechs have big arm hitboxes it makes them tanky, and if they don't you will get armed very rarely.
