Hey guys,

I am trying to buy a new mech but from the UI that is shown in game and in videos is completely different.

Mine shows just a small thumbnail of the choices with no details or anything. while others can break it down into Light medium assault etc. and then choose each mech, get a preview of it and get details on it... Im so confused as to why mine looks different.

If you could help this would be great!

that was the old UI. The new one all you can do is go to mechlab. click the selection in the top corner from owned to all. Then preview the loadout in the mechlab. The store does not do any of that.

Just another thing that was going to be fixed SOONtm

The videos are probably the old version of mech lab. The new one is called UI 2.0. There is an overview video here:

But it's best to not go into the store to look at mechs, look at them in mechlab using the 'Purchasable' filter at the top left. Choose the weight class you are interested in on the left, and then when you mouse over a mech you'll see the basic details, or click on it and choose mech details on the bottom right to see the complete build.

New UI.

One moment. This is commonly spread.

I personally can't stand watching it.
This is me rebuilding a mech (multiple times). It's not as detailed as what they do, but it's quite a bit more direct in doing what matters.

;)

no you can check out loadouts in the mechlab tab. You just have to change the little box in the upper left corner of the mech window from owned to all.

There are lots of ways to know what you're buying. The Store tab does not tell you any information and is only really useful for scoping out sales, but the mechlab offers all the info you need, and offsite sources like Smurfy are a must-have bookmark for every mechwarrior.
