More Than The Big Four?

I unfortunately sit in an unhappy position of being in a clan with a large active player base, but according to canon had no active role in the invasion other than observers. Will this remain true? If so, why?
Most of you who read this that are active in the game know which clan I am in. As it stands now our entire unit will likely break up because none of us wants to be a filthy mercenary, and PGI has no clear resolution on what will become of any clan other than "The Big Four".
Admittedly, CW is still 3 to 5 months away, being optimistic. I am a member of a Clan with 160+ members with over 30 being on at a time in the evenings (That is a weekday, Have not tried to count the weekend, as there are too many) there is literally always at least a four man going 24/7 on our TS3 server. As it stands now, we have four American trinaries active, and 1 EU trinary. All of these players will eventually move on to another unit because our Clan is not listed in canon as being active for the invasion.
So, the big question is, How many other clans will eventually receive tags? Of those clans why do they get tags and not others? Because of canon? You have repeatedly proven that canon is just a bunch of toilet paper.
I intend to make a nuisance of myself until all clans are recognized or I eventually get so frustrated with the Devs that I quit this game completely. And as a BT fan from the 80's, I can make a very determined nuisance.
This is something that has only been discussed among the officers of my clan. So expect 15 to 25 similar threads to start up in the near future. Kerensky help you when the rest of the clan learns of this. I foresee 100+ ******** and moaners from just my clan. There is no telling how many other players there are from the other 12 clans that will be complaining. Please PGI make us more than mercenaries that can't take more than border worlds.
I plan to continue on in a similar vein until a definitive answer is received. Any known IS trollers I will politely ignore your comments

your position however on being included in the invasion force does not make sense at all. You want your tags because by cannon you are an official clan. An official clan that did not participate in the invasion. If you want to participate in the invasion and remain in your clan, there is nothing stopping you. Stay together, re-write the cannon for your clan, that is what PGI is doing when they use cannon as toilet paper anyway. As for tags ALL of us clansmen have been under the guise of mercs and worse this entire time. I hope that PGI would be willing to include your clan in the future. As of yet they did not say the big 4 were the only ones, so there is hope.
:edit: I ramble but I am actually supporting your cause.

I am faced with the prospect of losing many friends because PGI can not implement something as minor as a faction tag.

As we can see that all Clans will not be released in the first shot, and if they stay somewhat with the timeline CHH doesn't enter the Inner Sphere officially for sometime.

fixed wording and brain fart, *sigh* I hate 16 day rotations

I hate when you post before I do. Surat
the sad fact is this is going to leave units with long-term clan affiliation out in the cold. Personally, and I know I am not alone in this belief. I do not like the idea of changing affiliations at the drop of a hat like some units do.

what gets me is why havent they releced Decalls yet? they would defenatly make some money selling those even if they just started with House and clan insignias.

Ahh but we won't be BK, we will just be a third party to Wolf. In lore the CHH units didn't change their style or unit logos while they were contracted. All they did was get direction on what planets to hit for Wolf.

If PGI has the balls to add all the clan factions right away, they get major brownie points from me. They already have some brownie points for having soo many factions already.
Somewhat unrelated but I'm bored so I'm saying it anyways. When it comes to whatever faction I'll probably use:
I'm probably going to stay Kurita if we only have the 4 invading clans (Samurai honor, PPCs, Missles mainly). Sadly, I don't care much for Inner Sphere mechs, but Kurita does like Jenners and Dragons a bunch. After the Catapult, those 2 are my favorite mechs in MWO.
However, Ghost bear has my my favorite mech Mad Dog (favorite design, and it has a pretty nice build too, replace Large lasers with PPCs, Mediums with jumpjets, and find some ammo for those LRMs and it'd be perfect for me). So if we are forced to be a faction that uses the mech we want in Community warfare, I'll probably be Ghost Bear. Besides, they like having Super fast lights to scout, Heavy support, and a bunch of Assaults to hit really hard, and that's what I like in a team, especially since I like to play the heavy "support".
Nova Cats are like the Clan version of Kurita with a little more focus on ER Large lasers instead of PPCs, and Aerospace (love being in the air, so I'd use Aerospace if it was an option). They also have the Shadow Cat (my 3rd favorite Design, and it has my favorite sniping build [Fast+Gauss dedicated+Jumpjets]) Though being religious through fire is a little lame imo. They are quick to drop Zellbrigen too which is another downside. So I'd rather just be Kuritans than be nova cats.
I'd probably join Goliath Scorpion if I had a chance. The Dance of Scars sounds fun to re-enact with Mechs. They stick to Zellbrigen as much as possible. Precision focus is a nice touch. I like the whole seeker thing. Their addiction to venom to do that is a bit of a drawback though. They love lasers, and find missles (LRMs are my favorite) to be unskilled, which is strange because most of their variants/stuff they produce/design tells another story as it's usually Ballistics/Missle focused.
In Short:
So yeah, I'll choose Goliath Scorpion if it's an option. Stay Kuritan unless Ghost Bear/Smoke Jaguar decide to hold the Mad Dog hostage in which case I'll pick Ghost Bear.

If you're looking forward to joining Clans Steel Viper, Nova Cat, or Diamond Shark, you're probably gonna be in luck.

To Keeshu: If you have already purchased a clan mech or any mech for that matter, prior to the release of CW, you will have that chassis available to play no matter what faction you are in. Sadly you can be Kurita and call your mech a "Vulture" but you WILL have it.

Very amusing post though I suspect you didn't mean it to be.
Very melodramatic.

Wolf is just an example that is actually based in lore, nothing says you have to go that route. As to PGI actually doing something to facilitate this i doubt it. We do not even have the basics for units in the game yet aside from faction logos.
There is also nothing that states you have to be "mercenaries" in order to setup a contract, this can all be done outside of the game. Hell you do not even have to let any one of the Invading Clans know your intentions as it is all just RP. For myself who would I contact there are I think three Clan Wolf units.
Sit back, breath and stop over thinking everything. It will all work out in the end, but not how anybody wants it to work out. The sooner we realize this the lower your blood pressure will be.
As a side note, nice to see you took the time to do a proper post and not just a text wall of rage and incoherence.

I could never call the Mad Dog a Vulture. Whenever I hear Vulture, I think of that thing that was in Mechwarrior 4. When I first saw the vulture in MW4, I thought it was an entirely different mech. Which that said it's still one of my favorite designs in Mechwarrior 4 anyways. I guess it depends on what the Mad Dog will look like whenever it gets into MWO. If it looks too much like an Inner Sphere mech I'll call it a Vulture, and in that case it will not be enough to make me want to join Ghost Bear.

Now there are three other clans in the invading list that should be up front before any other three get tags. Which are Diamond Sharks, Steel Viper and Nova Cats. On that note are the Diamond Sharks still around? I know the Nova Cats are active but I also haven't seen a post on Steel Vipers (though I haven't really been looking.)
However I wouldn't be so sure we would get those three as Russ had this to say, "As to the other 3 factions that is up for debate atm as we finalize our date rollback and how that fits in with initial release of CW"
So here is to hoping eventually we get all the Clans and I'm hoping the most active ones get recognized by PGI to be the first three.
