Put a ac20 + 5 machines gun with 3 mediums lasers and this thing would be unstoppable

I've been after a hero BJ for a while now and only last night i thought i wish there was one. After tearing up mechs in my 1X (5-6) kills per game is quite do-able. The BJ just seem's to suit me and i get on quite well with machine guns and the more the merrier. I was gonna hold off on any more MC purchases until the timber wolf but this could just sway me.

Plus i could do with a hero medium to compliment my DK, Hugginn (another vulture build) and my firebrand.

K im sold, its the mech + the hardpoints + jjs + the sweet paint job and I already have a 235xl from another mech.

As a long time Blackjack BJ-1 pilot I'm liking the Arrow; would've loved to see a maximum engine size in the 250 to 275 range, but I do fine with the current BJ-1 engine limitations.

I definitely see an AC20 build with three MGs (the two other MG mounts will be blocked by the AC20) looking good, and with the center energy hardpoint combined with six 'throwaway' MG mounts it brings zombie builds into the equation.

Love the paint. Love that its a mini 6 MG jager. If I were willing to spend money on this game [god damn hit detection being non-functional] I'd be buying this as soon as it were released.

I don't know why people are whinging about the speed, it's plenty fast enough and the BJ is a pretty agile mech in the first place.

Can you fit quad ac2's in this baby?

Yeah, I edited my post after realizing it. I like a single heavy weapon (AC10, LB10X, Gauss) with five MGs too.

Edit: Looks like they haven't replaced whatever the heck someone stole out of the Blackjack's cockpit, either. I've always wonder what was in that hole with the wire hanging out of it.

Agreed, this is the 2nd Hero mech they have come out with, that its stock end is its max eng where as usually its some different eng and the hero goes above the limit of the rest of its chassis.

Its more a reference to the fact that the ballistic weapons hits like an arrow, always on target :) At least thats my guess!

Dunno about the armor distribution, but the stock config looks pretty potent. The purple looks really awesome metallic (usually I always paint my mechs in Steiner colors, so this might be the second to keep default - after the GB since this is hilarious to paint... :)).

The CT hardpoint is below the cockpit, so pretty low mounted. If you plan on swapping the Large Pulse Laser with an ER Large, consider putting that in a ST mount, so you can at least do a bit hill humping. Otherwise swap in a Large Laser and upgrade the mediums to medium pulses. Looks like fun to play and no need for going XL.

The engine size in comparison to all the other Blackjacks seems fine to me, especially with the jumpjets and 9 weapon hardpoints. All of the other Blackjacks have a max engine of 235, except for the all-energy no-jumpy BJ-1X which gets a 295.

However, as a smaller medium, the 235 max engine Blackjacks could use a max engine upgrade.
