Weapon layout (visual changes on the mech) does NOT work on soo many mechs - not on a Cicada, a Cataphract and so on and on...

The engine is so slow that the Shadowhawk would actually have trouble doing anything but poptarting.
And yes while the camo looks cool (not included though), it doesn't even remotely reflect the loadout.
Good news is the champion can't escape.
...It also means new players will get to see, learn, and become poptarts themselves -- while PGI nerfs them.
Actually thinking about it because it'll become a trial mech....this is a good way to force data on both poptarts and any nerfs applied.

So you guys thought: Well lets make a Champion for the SHD-2H to make a 100% certain none of the phoenix pack buyers will ever consider buying it? I don't get it...
Two reasons why the SHD(C) won't sell as good as it could:
1) Many of us already have the (P) version, which is by far superiour (30% CBills > 10% XP).
2) Noone will ever buy a (C) mech because of the XP boost. We buy them so that we don't have to grind for valuable & expensive gear. XL 255 may be expensive, but not very valuable, at least not for this chassis. (SDR-5D, CTF-4X players will disagree)
SHD-2D with DHS, ES & an XL engine above 280 would have been a better (more sellable) choice, imo
The FS9-S(C) is a good example of how to do it right! It is the perfect first FS9 for the impatient, because you get your XL295 for a reasonable price. I'll gradly buy it once on sale (and i already have one XL 295).

Also, keep in mind one of the primary functions of champions is for newer players. This one will be very easy on heat and less effected by a lack of basic skill proficiencies than other champions. New players that purchase this champion or just get used to the chassis will be more likely to focus on SHD as their first chassis to master.
When I first joined, a stock Victor was one of the trial mechs and it was so horrible I determined they must be one of the worst mechs in the game and avoided buying them until I was 'collecting' mechs. I'm glad new champions like the SHD and Victor are so well built to be usable.

Makes a pretty sweet trial mech too.
