A lot of the "outrage" was because less than 24 hours prior to announcing clan packs Russ stated explicitly that CW was one of the highest priorities and would without a doubt be out before clan packs. Well, we can all see how that went...

instead of worrying about the timeline how about taking some time and fix a few things like the mechs size problems,
appearance problems, the fact u still get dead stoppped by pebbles and do i even hav to mention pinpoint

The game is set in a 1:1 timeline with the BattleTech universe, meaning that the current year 2014 equates to 3051 in BattleTech lore and each day that passes in real life also passes in the game. This means we are on the brink of the upcoming Clan invasion and utilizing the latest in technology available in the 3049 timeframe.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....
