No it wouldn't. Posted Image Take away the Coyote and that is not the ComStar logo, but is the Cameron Star.

Damn it Joseph, I was editing it out.

An "assholeish flowchart".. I really am not sure I want to know how this request will turn out. You willing to roll the dice as to what you will get?

The Cameron star is probably your best bet.

Technically, the Clan emblem is not the Cameron Star.

THIS is the Cameron Star, the emblem of the Star League:

THIS is the emblem of the Clans:

The Cameron Star features two "long" arms (one substantially longer than the other, and the other substantially longer than the two "short" arms) set 90 degrees apart, with a hollow pattern at the intersection.
The Clan Emblem is much more typically-cruciform, with three "short" arms of equal length and one much longer arm directed downward, with a solid intersection.

Of the invading Clans... they are. Of all the Clans... I still think the Adders are less assholeish than the Wolves.

someone should make a flow chart

What you might really want is a sociogram ("a graphic representation of social links that a person [or group] has"), with each link being color-coded on a scale of friendliness versus hostility. :D

Weren't the Nova Cats added to the Invasion with the intent to cause strife? Otherwise Why would ilKhan Kerensky pair them with the Smoke Jags... a known rival?

From the Wolves perspective yeah, Nova Cats and Jags, Vipers and Falcons.

My point was that there was only going to be 4 invading clans, No clan was lacking the ******* to invade. Clan Nova Cat placed 5th and Steel Viper 6th which is why they where reserve clans.

Ulric was just.. yeah a plotter and a schemer

Yeah Blast and McGral are as well. Haven't gotten a chance to ask them on TS what's up with that.

and wouldn't it be nice to dodge all that with a simple generic clan icon and your signature?

Because as just happened people will think your a bear because your flying the bear. You will launch into games and people will assume your a Bear as well.

Mmhmm. I could see the argument that Lone Wolf would fill the role of unassigned to a unit or clan player, but I for one would love to have a generic Clan player logo while we wait for PGI to produce the next wave of Clan logos (after, hopefully, redoing the current batch of abominations).

I think CSA has been adopting it just for the sake of being properly represented as a clan. Unless they signed up for NBT as CGB, which I don't think is the case. But yes, I agree. A generic Clan symbol at the very least would be nice. Or better yet, a Warden Clan and a Crusader Clan logo sort of like how the IS gets Lonewolf and MercCorps. Ultimately, it'd be nice to just have all the Clans and Periphery states so everyone can be happy. :D

Was never fond of that icon but I think it was due to the colors being too garish. Even the Federated Suns patch that came with the mechforce personnel file had richer and deeper colors, so maybe that's part of it.

Not that simple.

That image is a product of the TT, so using the image directly falls under the "Topps" licensing of the TT source material.

Microsoft (the license they have) has the rights to distribute the logo, but the physical image is the property of the Topps license. So they wouldn't be able to use it directly.

Think of it like the latest batman games. DC comics owns the rights to the images and the material, but if Neversoft wanted to use the "Arkham Asylum" model of batman directly in their game (different company) they would have to license the rights to use the individual peice of work from Rocksteady as the person who created the image under license. (Lets just assume that these two company's aren't owned by the same parent company as is the case with Topps and Microsoft.)

So they have the rights to use the "symbol" but not the DIRECT image. So they are going to have to make a fresh version for themselves.

My personal favorite is the apparently 'extinct,' but not exactly extinct Clan Wolverine.
