A General Thank-You For Whatever You Did In This Patch

Whatever backend stealth things you did has made everything feel responsive. Since the patch i've finally broken the 1k damage done mark (with 4 kills :3) and gotten several near 1k matches since.
The Ballistic range cut has drawn in the engagement ranges to around 400 - 800. I no longer get pinged at my shooters that are just a smudge on my screen.
Shorter range builds are getting into the fight with nearly all their armor intact.
PPCs seem to be registering hits and applying damage properly now.
(used to get occasions when my PPCs would hit, damage would flash on the paperdoll, but next to no dmage was done between 100 - 500)
Quite a lot of the matches ended as 12 - anywhere from 6 to 11. Very fun close kinds of games.
And that Alpine where i managed to convince the team to pincer the enemy on the high ground above the north base was just beautiful.
Only downer, and this may just be my latency playing tricks with the HSR, i have noticed that sometimes a shot from the front will hit my rear armor instead.
This COULD just be 'FF', but I watched a PPC once hit me in the RT, but my REAR RT flashed red.
'Mech in question is my beloved Catapult-K2.
Has anyone else seen that happen?

What ever they did it seems to always cause a surge in disconnects after a patch.

This here about coring from rear being confused for a bug, very much so. The whole shots from the front registering on rear may occassionally happen due to hsr, explosions and the explosion queuing thing they detected appling to quick moving targets, but more often, like half dozen times in just the past two days, its been my experience that its an accurate pulse laser assassin. I have been that assassin, working my way behind a focused victim who is volleying away over a hill or structure. Placed myself right behind or just off to the side then opened up as my teams return fire hit their hardened frontloaded frontsides. Usually I could get two, even three alphas in, before they were dead or turning to look, exposing their open backside to the very guys they were just shooting at.
Again and again, when I managed kills, I would hear complaints of borked hit boxes causing front damage to hit their rear armor where they only had 2 armor points and how not right it is that they should have to put armor on their backs to protect from a bug. Mostly, I've stayed quiet and abused their ignorance, match after match, but it bears noting that unless you have a 360 module or a guard at your back, you and your firing line facing one way do not get anything on radar when I'm behind ya, not even ecm which often gives an ambusher away, so sometimes its the non ecm lights that are stealthiest of all.
Every time I see people in this situation, they tend to discount people telling them to check their 6, insisting that its the bug, not their own failings. Who am I to argue with their confidence?

I love it when they turn to find me and continue getting blasted in the tender back by way more firepower

Definitely a good change because it makes the AC10 more worthwhile.

Trying to blame dying from behind on a bug that only really happens a few times (though occasionally consecutively) when the cause is a literal bug shooting you from behind... Not sure what to think about that.
