The bear is either sneezing or looks drunk and its paws are too small. Make it white too. Someone said it should have 4 paws but they really need to learn more about the ghost bear.
Clan Drunk Bear

The wolf looks like something surprised it from behind.
Clan Surprise Wolf

The jaguar looks like a cub and not at all menacing. I understand that red is in the Jaguars color scheme but that button has got to go.
Clan Black Panther

The falcon looks too cartoony with those wing feathers and the legs look more like hooves. It is also carrying what appears to be a colored stick rather than a sword.
Clan Falcon Hoof? Come back to me I can do better.

Well...The old clan wolf was like the Gilbert Gottfried of wolves so I'm not a fan of a predator using smell and sight to hunt....lacking the ability to see.

However the eyes are human shape, add in proper wolf eyes and a snarling wolf doesn't have it's mouth open, so either shut the mouth and have it snarl or else make it old school where it's a panting wolf look.

It isnt like they are going to use these logos on our mechs, they are just a stylised version with more realistic looking animals for our amusement on the forums. The actual ones in game I would imagine are going to be the old school versions.
(atleast I hope so)
I mean ones actually painted on our mechs BTW.

Clan "Jade Falcon"
- Instead of proudly and effortlessly soaring with the sword, the poor guy cannot hold its weight and is plummeting to the ground.
- We will ignore how the talons are grasping way off to the sides of where the respective legs are and that the one leg looks way longer than the other and connected to the body higher up.
- His head is looking down, as if it were saying "the heck am I holding onto this thing for?". Instead of being held high and proud, without a worry. As he is a raptor, a bird of prey, an apex predator of the skies and despite being a falcon he knows what weapon of honor is.
- Clan Jade Parakeet. To quote a certain group in this game, "SQUAWK!"

Clan "Wolf"
- We have what appears to be a rabid dog, not a wolf, a dog. What is worse, someone pointed out it looks like his dog going through a ****** exam. Of which I must agree, going by that expression. No more proud, loyal, strong wolf.
- Why are there fully detailed eyes? The other three did not get this treatment. It detracts from the symbol.
- Gold outlined stars. OUTLINED. With red centers, this is not the USSRx6. This is a travesty. There are five solid gold stars to represent each of the Pentagon worlds and a sixth solid gold star to represent Kerensky himself. They are now represented by hollow stars. HOLLOW! An affront to our Great Father, to suggest he and what he founded was hollow.....
- There is only one thing this could represent and that is the "Not-Named Clan".

Clan "Ghost Bear"
- Bear? I see no bear. I see an angry husky, whose master has not fed him today. What is with the dogs?
- I would have gone with down syndrome bear, but I would not want to insult individuals with that condition.
- Why does each of the paws have four claws? The original had three per paw.
- The one thing people complained about, the yellow ring, is actually correct. Go figure, they got something right. Look at the logo in Sarna and here. So there is that at least.
- Even if this was a bear, why is it looking up so much and why is so much of its neck drawn in? It is not a polar bear, mass 350-700kg, length 240-300cm, height 122-160cm. It is a Ghost Bear, Average mass 1,000 kg, average length 400 cm, average height 230 cm. The old logo was all head, massive, burly, bear noggin.
- Clan Starving Sled Dog. Mush!

I hope Russ is right and that they will see this thread and go back and redo these. We might as well have been given a logo of a surat and all been bunched under Clan Cute Surat.

DONTOR, If they keep these logos. THESE WILL be the logo in game. Not the classic style. This new logo would become 'Clan Ghost Bear's logo.

i fill this is going a bit far, you are insulting the fine artists who made these signatures entirely for the sake of your nostalgia, hate to brake it to you but i showed the old and the new emblems to over 234 people over the last 24 hours, all of them unanimously agreed that the new emblems looked great and the told ones looked hideous, the only one that got any support was clan wolf. i am really starting to fill like some of you are acting a bit entitled, a lot more of us love the emblems more then some who are speaking up here and personally i would hate to have to see that old smoke jaguar emblem ever again, it looked more like a bear then the ghost bear emblem ever did. stop being spoiled and embrace change for once. when you are starting to call for the artists head, you have gone to far. and what about all he people who actually like the emblems? should they be trampled for the sake of the nostalgia of a vocal few? i don't think so.

Honestly. We do feel a bit entitled. Look to the right. Under my 'Clan Ghost Bear' logo. Legendary Founder, Overlord+Sabre, now a Warhawk package. I am not the only one. A LOT of the Clan players you will notice have a Founder and/or a Project Pheonix packs. We feel entitled because we have invested a lot of money and time in to this game.

The loyal players that are of the Clan Factions feel ripped off, as the Inner Sphere had very little modification to their logos. A little bit, but it was not a total redesign.

Also, let the artist log on and post and I will insult his attempt to Clan logos to his face. I am sorry, been a white knight since before the game was announced in Oct 2011, Now, due to these new logos... I am a blue knight... as Ghost Bears are WHITE NOT BLUE!

As I said, no research went in to these logos.

Seriously, do you think it would go over well if a game company redesigned the Imperial and Rebel logos from Star Wars while placing the game between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. This is the same scenario. It is canon, it has not deviated in the new Catalyst Game Labs publications. MechWarrior Tactics, another IGP published game is failing horribly... why? Because they deviated from canon and took artistic licensing... For a games and universes that have a structured canon, and you intend to keep the original player base, you do not screw these sort of things up! You lose!

The new logos look fluorescent. I'd rather dull colours that aren't so flashy.

The new logos look like they're made to sell toys or appeal to a younger crowd. The old logos look realistic, like airforce badges.

Well, lets see some fan art representing what EXACTLY they would like to see in new banners for the Clans.

I think they look great stylistically. They match well with the inner-sphere in terms of style, shading and line weight. The colors are bright and crisp. Easily recognizable with a glance.

While I don't want to criticize the new logos too much, I do feel they should be changed. The idea of the logo (unit patch) was to help distinguish friend from foe in the heat of battle. They should be a fairly simple thing. There is a lot of color and detail in them now that will just turn into a blurry mess at a distance. Take pro sports teams as an example, just about every one has a max of three colors. Typically very simple shapes with flat cell shading is all that is needed for a good effective logo. I like the direction of these but I think they should be dialed back a bit in terms of level of detail.

I guess I am okay with them. The "peacock" reminds me of a pokemon, The "beard cat" need's a drink, dye job for the "panther", and the "wolf" looks good. Just a bit to stylized for my taste. I am happy... I think.

The big problem is that they are too much difference with IS logos. There is a big shift between IS and Clan Logo.

And we have to consider that they are military logos. Now they looks like toys or a Science Fiction logo from an old 80's movie...

I really not insult the graphic team of MWO and PGI, they do a GREAT job on mech design and other stuff. This logo are not ugly, they are good. But it's defenitively not in a War theme in my opinion.
