PGI sure changed the visuals though...

Warhammer Prime (TDR-9S)

And most of you should have a (free) TDR-9S from the weekend event a few weeks ago.
Of course, you could always grab an XLE, put on dual AMS, and the like, but then it's not canon!

Also, this has been done before (Warhammer almost Prime (QKD-5K)) but it lacks the dual MGs. Also, the speed is too fast. I don't like it BUT it does have the PPCs on the arms.

What do you mean by this? That you could also make a Hellbringer on the 9s chassis? Or that you'd rather have the Hellbringer?

Or that the Hellbringer looks remarkably like a Warhammer?
  • Bipedal.
  • SRM-6 rack atop the right torso.
  • Big PPC barrel composing each arm.
  • Cockpit in the upper-middle of the center torso.
  • Small weapons in the lower portions of the left and right torso.

Actually the only chassi that can do a warhammer and maintain some semblance of its configuration is the orion K as a warhammer 7m.

I left the engine it comes with so I didn't have to buy on, it makes it fit one less double heat sink. but other than that its stock with x2 erppc, x2 med laser, machine gun, ams, srm 6 with two tons of ammo, max armor . it surprisingly performs very well.

Interesting, as the Orion K is my Marauder alternative.

Question: What would happen if they let us mix and match parts more freely (on the Clan mechs, or with future IS Omnimechs), and the parts JUST SO HAPPENED to be designed in such a way that a player could, COMPLETELY ON THEIR OWN, come up with a design that looks like a Marauder?

Could HG still sue :)?

closer to the real deal.
QKD-5K Warhammer
"traded" the MG for extra srm ammo and another ton of armor.

You can get the proper weapon load on a Cataphract (Minus the SRM)

Yes, and they would, even if they wouldn't succeed, because HG is a bigger company and can thus afford to tie PGI and/or IGP up in court until the funds run out. There are reasons that NCSoft carefully avoided making copies of Marvel and DC heroes truly possible in CoH and proceeded to very enthusiastically rename and require re-costuming of characters players made that were named/suited to be especially similar to such supers. And if you really think that HG is less a bag of crotch-mounted-PPCs than Marvel (I don't really know enough about DC to say either way on that one), then I've got this bridge in New York I'm selling.....
