This is incorrect. The poll you are referring to was an informal poll started prior to official word from PGI. The poll that will determine the fate of the logos will be started by Niko and has yet to be created.

How does me wanting a Logo that was treated with the same respect as yours, regarding it's history in a 30 year old fictional universe equaling me being a uber gear seeking gimmie gimmie gimmie whine? How does me being able to represent my faction proudly give me any uber powers aside from being with a awesome clan and group of people?

Dude... I don't even.. wtf? Why so hostile?
Players voicing their opinion is not ok? People caring about a product they love is not ok?
Insulting others because you don't agree with them is ok?
Get some fresh air. Spewing poison at players is just as wrong as doing so with devs.
And I doubt, well hope basically, that's not exactly the kind of 'support' the devs want.

In the absence of hard evidence to the contrary, I rather doubt that Clan-oriented players are anywhere near a majority of PGI's active MWO customer base...

Actually, I do wonder what that pattern/symbol/object behind the jaguar in both the original emblem & the new rendition is supposed to be...

As this is literally the second time I have posted after almost 2 straight years of playing this game I do hope the gravity of this is heeded. Simply put, the smoke jaguar insignia is the only one that should be changed...its a SMOKE jaguar...not a black jaguar, honestly even if its just a colour change I would be happy with that but the old SJ insignia looked a hell of a lot more aggressive and violent (like the clan itself) imho. Other insignias look very nice, especially the CJF one. Doesn't need to be fancy, needs to instil fear into the freeborn filth I'm about to thrash into oblivion. ia: now I cannot un-see the yoyo

If the art team is going to make both "styles" of logo....why not just let people pick either and keep them both in-game? Have people choose which emblem is going to be made into cockpit/prem items, but allow people to choose which emblem is on their Mech or Avatar

just make the new emblems optional badges like the project overlord and founder ones thrown in with the clan pack that just requires a file rename, pgi its not hard.

Some would say they're too many in number to have a single agreeable emblem. Others might point out theres a review board for these "factionless loners" something to do with a star....might make a good logo. Just saying.

Just as you only want Smoke Jag to be like the old one, others want their symbols too to be like their originals.

I'll tell you this now, I'll buy a large amount of GB medallions / logos' with the old symbol, but I'm not going to pay anything where the faction symbol is pretty much a bear giving an "O" face on a field of vomited gradients. (Which in game looks like my faction logo errors out because it just looks like someone went and inverted a random image and called it a faction logo in game.)

Also, russ has already commented and has said that its going to be "one or the other" for ALL clans to keep aesthetic consistency, while no switch is possible as it would require code changes in the game client that they are not going to put in at this time.
