Because there is a way to make the Warhorns SO INCREDIBLY AWESOME that all you'll need to do is advertise what they sound like and people will fall over themselves throwing money at you, PGI:

Well, for three Clans, at least :).

If you at least make it possible for us to sub in those sound effects (provided we own the games so we can extract the files ourselves), that'd be fantastic as well ;).

Oh, right. Well at least it isn't Harmony Gold.

Still, better pack it in, I guess.

You left out the best MW2 game of the series which also had the best music IMO.

Which is run by Bobby "I would steal a baby's lollipop every chance I had" Kotick.... unless you have a billion dollars sitting around that ass isn't letting any IP go.

Ah memories of installing it at 3am on Christmas day and then desperately trying to turn down the volume as I'm utterly amazed :)

Guess what CD I have pumping out tunes as I play MWO, keep the game discs for the three Activision games purely for this reason ;)

Ah, that's the beauty of the era they were released. All three use standard audio CD tracks for the score, just pop them into a CD player you've got the tunes :)

I was playing those games just a couple weeks ago on a Windows 98 laptop that, believe it or not, still works! :)

So nostalgic. Yes, yes if PGI used some of that old footage or soundbytes I would be throwing money at them (not that I don't already...).

why is that cutscene better than the cutscene teaser from MW5 which never happened? (we got mwo instead)

it makes you wonder!! those were some talented cgi artists back in 1997!

Agreed... but where's the potential warhorn sound :)?

I think OP was talking about the animal noises at the start of the MW2 faction intros, not that "I'm not getting paid enough to die" and "you get to keep all the money" aren't suitable ones for IS mercs...

That would be really cool. Instead of the generic warhorn sound, they should have a howl for clan wolf, a shriek for jade falcon, roar for ghost bear and a cat growl for smoke jaguar.

They don't have to use the exact sounds from Activision and animal sounds aren't copyrighted.

I think that would sound a lot better than clan mechs cutting a giant fart when they kill things.

Or, if they want to trigger console gamers' PTSD, the Mountain Lion sound from Red Dead Redemption. Played REALLY LOUD, as if it were RIGHT BEHIND YOU (for the players with surround sound).

THIS

When I play this game with the Mercs soundtrack going (also queued up with MW2 and Heavy Gear, all the same composer), I swear it doubles my score
