With the addition of streak SRM6 for clan mechs I predict the shift in light mech tactics to long range scouting, sniping, and hit run.

Crouch huggers and machine gun boats will soon find an early grave.

If you need autoaim weapons to do this for you then chances are you'll still die to lights no matter what you have.

Oh no, my auto aiming lasers and ppcs work just fine. You missed the point. :) Not to be construed that I use an aimbot. Which I DONT! :D

It'll just mean more light mechs will carry AMS.

He wasn't saying that you are using an aimbot, merely that streaks will always hit when locked unless something gets in the way or they are shot down.

That said, we'll see what happens in game, but some tactics will probably need to be adjusted.

How many oxides out there you see tearing it up?

Yeah Stream srm's are going to be mean, but it doesn't really change the light mech game "THAT" much.

If you got ecm you can take them, if you don't then you would of never engaged anyways.

Honestly I do not think so. If clan mechs are going to be as slow as they are and the new Drop Target mod with loss of LOS added. its going to be easy to break lock and keep it off. Hell I do it now with lights that have streaks.

Honestly, Spider vs Oxide with a BAP, equal pilots, I bid on the Spider pilot. That is how much respect I have for streaks. Sure, the spider will be shot full of holes, but at least most of the shots it fires will actually hit the same spot.

Gee, I guess you will have to run with another ECM mech to run around kill mechs now. Hint 2 ECM trumps BAP.

The Streakboats will slaughter less-skilled light pilots (e.g. me). But to better pilots, it won't make that much more difference.

But still, I look forward to running a Streakcrow just for the fun of spitting stupid amounts of missiles at close-range targets. Probably will mix an LRM20 in there too for fun.

Edit: Oh, but Locusts will be even more dead than they already are. One salvo from a Streakboat and it'll probably have no armor left whatsoever.

which will be a fine waste of tonnage when 4 SSRM6 boats are afoot.

Ummm does anyone here think that good light pilots can not break streak lock? Its really not that difficult and when you add in that new mod that is suppose to be coming out its going to be even easier. And once broken its not that easy to get the lock again the the light knows what he is doing.

Collisions that stop people when ramming would be a better solution to crotch hugging .... or a spiked codpeice

Because us light mechs never check our victims load out before attacking... Is why my lance mates nuke down those guys for me at range. I kill what they need handled, they take care of the rest
