Though a slightly serious note. Today is the 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasion. Not forget what the allied troops did this very morning as they hit the beaches. Let it remind us to stand against the injustice and tyranny. We maybe American, Canadian, British, Russian, German, Australian, Argentinian, French, aBrazilian,...etc., but we are also human beings. It's nice to know our problems stem from a video game and not a world war.
Maybe for today we can all make the extra effort to stop bickering, complaining, trolling, and being angry towards a something that in the end is just here for amusement.

I always laugh at people who complain about anything video game related, when there are real problems in the world.

Brave men and women. My uncle crashed in a glider during the invasion, and had to walk to Berlin. My father experienced the complete Pacific campaign. I operate converted boilers used in Liberty ships that ferried troops across the channel. I will not forget.

Removed an attempt to troll (said the offender) this topic.

Please do not make this a political debate (historical or actual) and stay within the spirit of the thread when creating a post

Summer 1952. The year both the Republican and Democratic national conventions were held in Chicago.
The morning after he accepted the Republican nomination for president, Ike startled aides when he emerged from his suite at the Blackstone Hotel -- as he had from his headquarters in England on the eve of D-Day -- but, this time, no driver. He walked up South Michigan Avenue to the Congress Hotel.

Ike went to the ballroom, where a luncheon was in progress, a reunion of the 82nd Airborne Division. When the men caught sight of him, they were on their feet, cheering, whistling. He moved to the lectern at the head table, beaming -- the famous Eisenhower smile -- as he acknowledged the welcome. I saw it all in my living room when the Chicago TV station I was watching broke into its newscast. The TV camera zoomed in. A tear moved down Ike's cheek. Then another.
My mother, watching with me, said, "He's crying. Why is he crying?"

I said, "He's looking out at a roomful of men he once thought he could be sending to their death."

There is not much I can say, that can properly present my respect for the men of that time.
I am not sure there is anything I can say that can properly present my respect. ;)

Thank you for that as well.

I am ashamed to say that I had forgotten.
