Getting a legal Windows 7 license and completely reinstalling is probably a good idea.

Greetings,
First, locate the specifications on the new items you installed,
- then get the current manufactures listed drivers for each.
- After they are installed, configure any setting those items may have that are new.
- you'll probably need to get the C++ and Net updates, as well as possibly the Dx9c older drivers to fill in the missing DX files.
- Finally, as you stated, windows will probably think you have a different computer, as too many things have changed. (normally upgrading the CPU chip will immediately invalidate the Win7 install, but just contacting support and giving them the info about what you had, the changed items, and they will issue you a new key on the spot.)
- But attempt the windows update anyways.
This is one of the main reasons for having a full back up of your system installed programs and the install drivers links to what ever other items or programs are installed.
- I normally save a copy of every program initial install component to a special folder, on another hard drive.
- If I need to reinstall anything, that's the first place I go, and check if I have actually used it recently.
- I'll copy and paste it back into the new system location and run the install again, then look for any updates.
- It's always a good idea to create a text file for some of these installs, listing the user id or name as well as the serial or key for the install, keep that in the same location of the back up. (one stop shopping for the reinstalls)
(It's funny that some programs I have I may have only used once or twice in 2yrs, but absolutely needed them when I used them.)
Good luck,
