All my phoenix mechs have a hod rod camo (not the P Variants but you get the idea)
The colors are unlocked for every mech.

Are you sure about that because that is not what is writen. Hover the mouse over the social reward 2 and see that it says "for each preordered mech".
True about the camo, i admit i never used it *shame*, the colors i do though.

Yes I am sure.
Colors can't be unlocked per chassis.
They are either unlocked for every mech in the game or not at all. The exception to this is hero colors with a permanent pattern. These will not be hero colors.
These colors are unlocked for every mech.
The patterns (polygon) are only unlocked for every pre-ordered mech (exception of the clan founder variants)

Why can't PGI be bothered to write it like it is? Any conspiracy theorist among us?

You only get the permanent camo unlock for those chassis that you bought. Since you get all the variants of that chassis, the only way you'd get it on more mechs is if they came out with other variants of those mechs. If you bought the smallest pack, you only get the camo on that one mech chassis (but all variants).
For example, I think it'll work like it did for the thunderbolt. I bought the Overlord package and got the thunderbolts with the flame pattern permanently unlocked. Later, PGI released another thunderbolt variant and gave it to me for free (yay challenge). That new variant has the flame camo unlocked.

Or how about someone failing in reading comprehension?
Colors are unlocked for every mech, once you get a color its available to EVERYTHING. I have 3 blacks and a multitude of reds, all I never have bought. Now my other ones, I have gotten, like the nice pure white and a few oranges/yellows/greens/and a purple. All I can use on everything, patterns are different and are either unlocked by mech (cheaper) or by chassis (more expensive but are perma unlocked for the entire mech line).

I think he meant Buying a different package like if he buys Uller pack waits after the 17th and he buys the next tier will the next tier get the items as well.

Let me help you with reading, first go there http://www.mwomercs.com/clans ok now check the social reward colors, they are called "POLYGON COLORS" and they say it's "FOR EACH PREORDERED MECH". Now let me help you with Comprehension, what else as that description? The Polygon Camo, you readily accept that the camo works as advertised but not the colors because those we got in the phoenix pack didnt work like that.
This has nothing to do with how colors or camo works now/before, i know how they work now/before.
I just realised they reiterated that there http://mwomercs.com/...ward-last-call/ ishould post there but they are making it pretty clear youre not getting the colors for all your IS mech.

Colors don't work that way in the system without being a default color of the mech. Yen-Lo-Wang has red and white baked into the default color scheme, so it gets a red and white that isn't available to other mechs. Founders mechs have blue, yellow, and white baked into their default color schemes, so they get those colors by default. Polygon colors aren't going to be the default colors of the mechs, so there's no reason to assume they will only be available for those mechs.
I don't see where they're 'making it clear you're not getting the colors for all your IS mechs' when every color ever has worked the same way since the last overhaul of the camo feature.

It says it right in the description of the colors - For Each Pre-ordered Mech. I wouldn't assume that these colors are going to be like other colors, they are more likely going to be like Hero colors and tied to the Pre-Ordered Mechs just like the description says. Now the monthly rewards "Clan Colors" will likley be a global color unlock since they don't say 'For Each Pre-Ordered Mech'.

Yes you are, and your`re BSing, too.
Yes: Camo only unlocked for preordered mechs
Yes: Colors only unlocked for preordered mechs (though I still think that`s a website mistake, just like the TWs hardpoints)
BS: Phoenix camo rewards were also NOT awarded for chassis that were not preordered. That`s why my Griffins and Wolverines do not have hot rod camo unlike all of my preordered Overlord mechs.
But either way, it "shouldn`t" matter, because it`s not what you`re paying for, but an extra perk that was never officially part of the deal..
Or does not being able to use colors that you would either get for free or not get at all (depending on sales) somehow devalue that actual product you bought?
The level of entitlement here is just staggering... It`s like those idiots that didn`t even know about Highspeed internet on planes even existing bitching and moaning when it has a 10 second issue.... It`s really a sad sign of society`s decline that everyone thinks the world owes them everything for nothing.....

On the other hand, the simplest way to segregate IS from Clan tech and mechs in the mechlab would be to "split" the mechlab between Clan and IS instead of jumbling it all together.
This would allow them to make Clan or IS only colors and camos as a side effect..... The question then becomes: what about the colors I already have (though I would expect that anythign previously purchased would then be usable in both).

Hmm, tech segregation is a good point. I foresee the forums being very, very interesting on patch day while searching for matches. Personally, I really do think the colors will be unlocked for all mechs, while we may very well see different camos for clans and inner sphere. but like I said, speculation is so very fun.
