And if you are an enthusiastic YLW pilot that is looking forward to piloting a Summoner, is it because of the classic minimalist "Thor" configuration?

Also, if you are Bishop Steiner, do you swear eternal fealty to House Steiner-Davion?

I don't own a YLW but I do use an AC20 Shadowhawk/Hunchback regularly.

And yes what appeals to me is the exceptional speed and mobility aswell as the simple loadouts. I'll probably run something straight forward like 2x ERLL + 4xSRM6 pending on weapon stats.

When I can buy these summoner for c-bills, I will be !mastering them if Wildstar isn't sucking up all my gaming time. This and the kit fox are the only two mechs I really want. I won't be chasing the elitest, fan-boi Timber Wolf.

ETA: I have about 250k extra XP for my YLW. It is a good mech at 107 KPH and the fastest torso twist in the game.

I don't usually pilot a YLW, but its the only Cent I use. Summoner is on another level, 20tons heavier, jumpjets, has good speed for a heavy, curious about the quirks for the mech, its jumping and mobility should be way above other heavy mechs. wait! can you hear it "DFA" as you shoot your LBX, and erppc right into some ones cockpit as your landing on top of them... :P

I remember MW3's OP JJ's and CUAC/20s. I fielded a Thor with 4 and a pair, respectively. Plus a pair of CERMedLasers. 4 tons of ammo. Run, fly (higher than the average LRM arc) to get into close quarters, then frag. Up to 5 kills in a row in multiplayer. Then chase your terrorized LAN friends around ammoless.

I don't have a YLW, though. I considered getting it. But I settled on Shadowhawks.

With all that said, I want the Summoner for the nostalgia even if I can't downgrade the engine to fit dual CUAC/20s. I still need to satisfy my curiosity ASAP. I wonder about the performance characteristics especially since they say that components with less hardpoints will have more agility. And for a lot of us, tinkering with builds and stats is half the fun.

Got YLW and Shadowhawk with AC/20. Thinking of getting HBK 4G with AC20. Thor with big gun might be up my alley.

Well, before you believe someone who says his wang is as agile as he says it is, tell him you gotta see it to believe it.

I happen to love the Yen Lo, but i honestly have no idea if i'll like the Thor. Timber Wolf is my love.

well, I am of mixed emotions on the TWolf. Summoner was always my favorite Clan Heavy, because I am a JJ guy. Original TWolf did not have JJs. So them adding the S is cool, albeit a little irksome to boot. Also, I always ran a very specific loadout on my TWolf that I cannot replicate in MWO, so I am a sad panda.

I ran 2 LRM15, 2 ER LArge, 4 ER Medium and 4 MG. Would have been very effective in MWO.
