Alpha is brown, Delta is Red, Beta is Silver/Grey
Depends on your unit, Delta was mostly Grey with Black and Red accents...Alpha was mostly brown, Beta was dark and light grey.

In ancient times of the Battletech Universe all Clan Wolf mechs was simply gray. And in old sourcebooks and fiction books wolf's mechs was gray. Thought up other coloring later (with helps of fans I think), you can see it there: http://camospecs.com/Faction.asp?ID=47 and http://camospecs.com/Faction.asp?ID=8
But if you paint your mech in gray, don't worry - it won't be a mistake.

Nevermind. A reddish brown Summoner is cool, but a reddish brown Timberwolf looks better, quiaff?

Hoooo yeeaaahh.
And +, no need for it to be 20% cooler... Hum.
*start imagining what would look a Timber Wolf with a Cutie Mark.*
*Ho yeah, I need to get THAT on my Timber Wolf... And pretty much the rest.*
The guy's who will have read Rainbow Factory and Pegasus device will understand what I mean. >

CRUSADER WOLVES ARE NOT THE SAME AS PRE REFUSAL WAR CLAN WOLF
At the very least alpha and beta galaxy of clan wolf in exile preserve the pre-refusal colours and should by all rights be considered the true successors to the pre-refusal units.

If I can recall correctly, segments of many galaxies went with them to become Wolves-in-Exile. Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta Galaxies all had units that went with the true protectors of Kerensky's vision.

Not sure for the other Galaxies, but i am sure the WiE Alpha Galaxy is mostly if not totally composed by warriors of the Pre-Refusal War Alpha Galaxy. The 4th Wolf Guards retained their name while the remnants of the other Clusters were organized in new Clusters, the 1st Wolf Legion Cluster, 1st Wolf Strike Grenadiers.

Individual clusters in CWiE (13th Wolf Guards), may have kept the original CW parade colors, but that was super rare. New colors and new galaxy insignia were adopted by the exiles. However, both exiles and crusaders still tended to use the basic grey or appropriate camo in the field.
For an example, the Beta Galaxy artwork predates the refusal war, and CW kept that scheme, while the exiles went with the white and gray parade scheme.

Retaining their Unit Designations does not equal retaining their insignia or color schemes.
Beta Galaxy looked like this during the invasion:
and like this afterwards:
No change. It's canon, folks.
