In regards to the current sample sounds:

https://soundcloud.com/mechwarrior

Please (re)consider adding more "Clan Friendly" warhorns that might represent the Clans a bit better?

Clan Jade Falcon = Falcon scream
Clan Wolf = Wolf Howl
Clan Smoke Jaguar = Jaguar growl/snarl
Clan Ghost Bear = Bear Roar

Since a lot of players here are excited to represent their affiliations with all the factions Battletech has to represent, I believe that if you are going to allow for a sound to play from a Clan Mech, would you PLEASE think about adding animal sounds for the Clan Faction warhorns?

I mean, honestly, when I hear "Lunch Truck" I think more along the lines of "trolling/gag" than I do "imposing". But if goofy is what is being sought after instead of serious, then I would like to see the Alarm Clock from Groundhog Day, or a blinking digital alarm clock with the time blinking to "30:50" with the song clip from "I Got You, Babe." That I would pay money for instead of wub wub wub wub, thb.

Clan-appropriate animal sound is a great idea!

What kind of sound would a Blood Spirit warhorn make?

ooooOOOOoooooOOOOOOOooh?

What about a Diamond Shark? The theme from Jaws? A bunch of splashy noises?

There are also 3 different snake clans, so would we have 3 different hissing horns?

Actually, you should expand the poll to include IS warhorns as well. Give the factions music from whatever culture they're based on. Mercs would basically be a cash register KA-CHING! sound since they only like money.

I agree. The Hello Kitty and My Little Pony songs are sorely missed.

really hope that is sarcasm ...

seriously - warhorns are a good idea for situations when someone in front is not able or willing to lock at the map and blocks other people, etc.

however - the more annyoing the sounds are - the more they get abused - up to the point where PGI is forced to implement an option to turn them off - which makes them pretty useless. Speaking only for myself here - but when I come from work and play a few rounds MWO I want to have fun not some animals screaming in my ear.

And don't say that won't happen - there are enough idiots allready in the game who bump into teammate or do lightshows just to annoy them!

With regards to the other clans or IS factions, *shrug* I don't know, but the current 5ish second sound clips for warhorns... in my opinion... feel more gimmick-like than something I would think a Clan pilot would use. Yard Sale, Rec Room, Isobaric and Pressure Chamber don't seem too bad. Gattling Horn, Envious Eardrum, Surat don't sound like they'd fit in. Sonic Boom and Kickers are too dubsteppish, and Lunch Truck is just an Airhorn... really? I'd rather be fighting a group and hear wolves howling than airhorns, skrillex, and angelic music in my MW:O experience.

Despite my personal opinion regarding like or dislike for those, I'm still scratching my head as to why they wouldn't have thought about putting in a few Warhorns into the game that actually sound like the first wave of Clan animals they're pushing to sell.

For the clans being mysterious warlike invaders from the periphery these sounds are hardly mysterious or warlike. I too do not understand why they did not make them like the totem animals but am more confused why a Clanner who believes in honorable combat would even use one.
Still, if we have to have them they should invoke fear and awe.

Someone used the sound from the tripods in the most recent war of the worlds movie as an example of what they should be more like and I agree. Imo the tripod sound invokes what one should feel when facing a clan mech for the first time. Even if they do not sound like the appropriate animals, they should not be something almost comical.

In general, sharks have no dedicated sound-producing organs or structures.
The one exception is the Draughtsboard Shark, which produces a dog-like barking noise when captured and brought out of the water.
Alternatively, they could go the "Sea Fox" route and use fox sounds...

And, actually, falcon sounds aren't all that impressive.

The shriek of the Red-tailed Hawk (which is NOT a falcon, despite being a popular bird for the sport of falconry), on the other hand, might make for an impressive warhorn proposal.

I am not sure what you are talking about, that falcon represents the green chickens perfectly.

Should be no Warhorns what so ever...

This isn't the Warhammer 40k Universe, and these definitely are not Mechanicus Titans...

Actually I believe warhorns are canon lore. I somewhat recall Natasha Kerensky mounting amplifiers to her mechs rear, and after each kill she would twerk above each of her kills in her mech while blaring noise from them. Or maybe it was fanfiction... *shrug* not like lore matters anymore.

I voted no. I personally don't care if others have horns in their mechs, but i don't want to have to hear them. Also, the horns are on the inside of the mech. I shouldn't be able to hear them!

I would love to hear "we apologize for the inconvenience" after each kill, but I suppose that is not going to happen either

I want a warhorn that sounds like a Viking warhorn. That would be epic
