if this is true, that warhorns are a pure insult on pgi´s side, an insult to their paying players.

But I guess we'll see if they get added in by then, or afterward.

Finally a Star Commander, quiaff Jax?
Aff, I am. I was promoted yesterday.
Did you recieve your promotion insignia and gift?
Aff, I did.
Ha! What did they gift you with?
A Giant speaker over my cockpint window that blows an incredibly loud bass note in my face on demand.
Aye, The Galaxy Commander will never forgive you for that slight during your sibko years!
Aff. He made it mandatory that everyone in my Star had one, much "like a bell on a cat" he said. It is rumored he has a remote to it.
Well, let us celebrate anyway...

Seriously considering full refund or at least downgrade pending info as to ability to turn tehm off completely.(or lack thereof). This is mechwarrior, not mechtoddler, and I know toddlers whos squeaky toys are less annoying....
I can`t see myself ever using them, or for that matter enjoying the game nearly as much with what amounts to mostly dissonant noise blaring thougn my speakers at random intervals...
Apparently getting some guy to just blow into a warhorn and recording that with a microphone is a major chore in Canada.... so we get a cheesy browsergame notification sound, a mechanized foghorn , a beat even Skrillex didn`t use, an air horn with trumpet delusions, an air raid siren, a badly digitized and cheaply whammied power chord, another thrown out Skrillex intro, a wierd pseudo bird scream (Congrats to the falcons, I guess), something that at least sounds like it might be from something big and metallic, and the freaking windows startup sound (that`s what happens when you have to license things from M$, I guess).
In case it`s not clear, I am not amused. Not one bit....
*Edit* Would it really have been SOOOOOOO hard to sample a falcon screeching, a bear roaring, a cat roaring, and a wolf howling, and add 4 "typical" warhorny type sounds?
Seriously, all of this " We have to appeal to all the short attention span / ADD-diagnosed Sz3n3 K1Dd13Z @ 8ny c0s7!" BS is really starting to make me want to just say gg, have fun and leave....
PS: Before anyone gets on my ass about the ADD comment, I was diagnosed in 1981, and spent most of my juvenile life on a most ludicrous assortment of prescription medication as a result ( I would have been a homerun at any rave in the late 90s ), and have not in any way, shape or sorm improved except that it`s 33 years later. There`s very little you could tell me that I don`t already know, mostly from personal experience, but you`re welcome to try.

Unless these are internal only. If they're internal sounds only, and don't blare outside the mech, I have no problems.

Keep listening after the last one.
Then the Jager start..
Then an Epic Rock mix of the Pacific Rim Theme.
.....That rock mix is what I want blaring from my Heavy Metal as I'm going through the field.
