My favorite Mech is and has always been the durable hard-to-kill Thunderbolt. As a Phoenix Overlord owner I already have a hero Mech of that chassis. But I thought it deserves one anyone can buy. And why not put an emphasis on his durability by making him built of salvages, just put together to fight off the Clan invasion at Oberon with their colours? How about a Thunderbolt with the right arm of a Jägermech and the left arm of a Catapult? This could be a great introduction for OmniMechs!

I've also been hoping for a hero Thunderbolt but would be happy with something as simple as a TDR5S with jump jets.
Will they ever give me (i mean US! ) that?
I hope so. The 9SE has jump jets & takes away the ballistic hardpoint.
If they took a few energy hardpoints from the 5S (LEAVE those missile hardpoints, left arm ballistics, & right arm energy alone please!!) from the 5S and gave jump jets I's say that's a powerful tradeoff especially considering IS mechs have the endo steel/ferro fibrous armor options.
And my favorite is also the TDR

Frankly, I would like to see a Hero Thunderbolt with ECM and two shoulder ballistics. JJs are so broken now that I don't really care whether or not it has them.
...I'd bite that!

GLAD they're finally fixing JJs
OP: And speaking of Frankenmech, Karl's reference above is right on the money for that.
We'll be seeing some fugly Frankenmechs courtesy of the Inner Sphere as 'early' as 3056, such as the Sunder, Avatar, and Argus.
