Mechwarrior: Living Legends Is Not Dead...

Now that we know MW:O is basically a flop with an over-promising, under-performing dev team and a narrow and shrinking margin of potential, I think it's safe to say that we'd all have a much better time if we direct our attention to MW:LL. Development of MW:LL has been halted as of version 0.7.1 (though there are rumors of PGI's involvement in this, the lead developer for MW:LL denies this), the player population has been rather steady, with a couple populated servers at any given time, especially in the evening:

I strongly recommend giving MW:LL a good try. On their website's homepage, there is a link for a single download installation that includes all necessary files - you just need to download, extract, and run the installer. The game, in its current state, could use some new players, and I can almost guarantee you'll have a great time if you give it a shot. Here's the site:

Neither is getting in trouble with the mods.
If I remember right - if there is an official thread for something (IE the Warhammer thread or the MLP thread or what have you) it doesn't count as Necro.... or something like that.
Having said that - I have MWLL installed..... never been anyone on when I have tried playing it.
What I have seen of it....
It looked cool, but it reminded me to much of the Touhou TF2 Mod.
Someone trying to cram one universe into another that didn't quite match.
It is cool - but it is missing that certain something.

That is wonderful.
/sarcasm off
Never when I can actually play though.
Edit: emphasis added since you didn't bother reading it when I posted it before

But the users who mentioned it are right. One thread per game is enough. There is no rule that is forbidding thread necros, if they are filled with real content and not only some bump spam.
I'll take another look at the thread tomorrow.

Hope you rest well - bein tired is no fun.
Having said that - been curious for a while - how do thread mergers work?
Something along the lines of copying the contents of this one onto the end of the other?

It is a great game, give it a chance. 'Mechs, battle armors, tanks, vtols, aerospace fighters.. A true battletech feeling. Something you will never get in MWO.
P.S. not sure why i wrote in this way O.o

Not a madcat to be seen
An arena of isolation
May this be quick and clean
The wins kept racking up for my side
Couldnt keep it up, sphere knows I tried.
Would let them in but they wont see
It was the good game I wanted it to be
conceal, don't feel, don't want to grow
Well now I know!
Let it go, Let it go
Bought a mech in the store
Let it go, Let it go
Game's deader than a door
I don't care
What they're going to say
Let the forum rage on
The meta never bothered me anyway
It's funny how some distance
Makes a game seem so small
And the sullas that controlled me
Can't fbomb me at all
It's time to see what I can do
To test the jets and shield arm too
No right, no wrong, no rules 'gainst PPC
I'm free!
Let it go, Let it go!
Man this shadow hawk can fly
Let it go, Let it go
Drink the tears that you cry
Here I stand
And here I'll stay
Let the forum rage on...
My cannon flies through the air into the ground
Our mechs are dying in absurd numbers all around
And one thought shakes my core like an AC blast
I'm having fun right now
The past is in the past!
Let it go, Let it go
And I'll never have to respawn
Let it go, Let it go
That 'perfect' game is gone
Here I stand
In the light of day
Let the forum rage on
The meta never bothered me anyway

Suppose it could be taken sort of ambiguously, but I was working off the situation actually in Frozen. IE: A former MWLL player finally moving on to MWO. (As someone who played and loved MWLL, I think a lot of us have nostalgia goggles for what we thought was THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST, but had huge issues.)
/Logically you could then extend this to saying they're going to return to MWLL, but this was just for funsies. Hue hue
