A C-Bill sink is money flowing into and out of the system creating a need to accumulate. The accumulation and expenditure of Clan mechs will come with the initial purchase price, forcing players to save, augmented by Omni-Pods prices and extra weapon prices.
The IS mechs will come in bits and pieces, albeit allowing a lower initial overhead, but customization costs will stay the same as they currently are. Small initial investment, higher customization costs.
The funny thing is, without an in-game economy, and I am NOT suggesting one, a C-Bill sink is only partially necessary to keep funds low and enhance the need for 'quick' purchases with MC.
