Makes 2 other expensive modules basically useless, it should soft counter them, ie less time locked, but as soon as lost LOS no target ? then I want the GXP for Avd.Target decay and 360 retention refounded :/

Warhorn Sounds: I like them, and I'm sure there will be many more brought out (knowing PGI), though people will really need the option to mute them if they want.
Modules: Most useful, the instant target unlock: basically a must have.

Ok wait wait wait! I get no choice? All 8 Warhorns? All 4 Modules of which 2 will never be used by me, and 4 clan medals of ALL invading clans no matter which one I belong to?
And that with UI 2.0?
Whoa ..

- Allow the removal of the physical representation on cockpit. It makes NO SENSE. Why not use one of the monitors instead to display any kind of graphics related to it? If the sound is heard outside, why the hell the pilot wants the speakers facing him inside the glass? It makes NO SENSE.
- The Warnorn CANNOT fire all the time anyone is killed. Make it special. Reserve it for "First Blood", "Last Kill" and maybe (maybe) for Saviour Kills. Alternative: reserve it for Hero/Prime/Phoenix/Founder mechs.
and how a Pug bobble head or an air freshener make sense then? Cockpit items are simple novelty joke items. The are not design to make sense lol

I have no longer any interest in this game.

air freshener is important, imagine you have to smell your disgusting sweat all the time because you run your mech constantly at 95% heat. The neutralised smell keeps you focused on the battlefield.
and PUG bobble head? of cours eit keeps up your motivation. A happy pilot is a good pilot, isn't he?

I'm very easygoing with PGI and I'm fond of most of the things they've implemented.
But I've waited a year and I've paid money for.. this?
Okay, I'll be more constructive,
I think most of the community expected more intimidating sounds that'd be taken seriously from the warhorns. Y'know, because they're warhorns? I certainly wouldn't go to war with dubstep or foghorns. Save that for Solaris VII or private matches [Solaris VII arena matches sound like a good idea ].
Also the visual cockpit items are a bit, noisy [pun]. From the videos that I've seen, they're certainly crowded.
Regarding the target module, I'm quite concerned about it, to be honest. The only way I can see it being remotely balanced is if it's countered by BAP, Narc, target retention modules & if you deny any ECM capable mechs to the Clans. If it's available to the Inner Sphere too, then we're all screwed, gentlemen. [Unless it's selling for like, 30m C-bills or something]

It's simple, please bear with me: The purpose of the cockpit items is nothing more than being, as you say, novelty joke items. You put them if you want and they have no other function whatsoever. The Warhorn visual apparatus is a consequence of the primary function of the feature - the sound. So, if someone wants to use the horn, they must accept the extra clutter in the cockpit. Also, as I have said, speakers inside the cockpit makes no sense at all not for their aspect but for their supposed function.

If you're going to waste time on fluff and money spinners instead of actual content why not waste it on something less obnoxious and out of place?
Like decals maybe.
You know? Those things you've had in-game but disabled since closed beta?

They had a swift response to the Clan Logos outrage, does anyone think they'll take back their Looney Tunes warhorns?

Target Deprivation isn't stupid. The existing module which enables people to magically maintain target locks even after line of sight is broken is stupid.
If the implausible ''see behind cover" module didn't exist, then there'd not even be a need for the second implausible module.

The idea behind warhorn is OK, but they sounding FREAKING AWFUL!
...
But instead of all this, we will have a gop-hardbas pary on battlefields:
Oh jesus. There is a style like this?
I wonder, if that is the picture of the average claner for the IS, or if this will be how we will see them after the invasion...
I guess it all depends on how the claners will act ^^

Ever see the arty and airstrike?
PAY TO do damage which is how you WIN.
Arty and Air Strike can be had for CBills though. Pay to Win is something that is clearly superior and only accessible with money. These modules are better than many we already have, and if they weren't available for cbills, then that's an issue.

Ill have to hear it first. I was really hopping for a Falcon Screech. In the Jade Falcon books they are always talkign about a Falcon Screech they do as a battle yell.
EDIT: Oh God. I just found the link to the sounds. What the F**k do any of these have to do with the clans? The Surat is the only thing that even references somethign from the clans and a Surat isn't something Clanners look at with pride.
Seriously. I dont mind having these as somethign we can buy but the Warhorns found in the clans should have been clan themed. A Howling wolf. a Screeching Falcon, A Growling Bear, A Screeming Jaguar.
WTF PGI?
