visual range is fine as it is now. however, i think that you shouldnt be able to shoot at anything outside of your sensor range since your mech wouldnt be able to properly line up your weapons to hit the target.

Oh please god no. I left WOT because of broken spotting mechanics. Just because en enemy is under ECM cover doesn't mean it bends light around it and becomes invisible. It doesn't appear on radar, cannot locked for LRM's, etc, but you can still look out your window and see it. These are 20-100 ton walking tanks. They stand 7-12 meters tall. If they are stupid enough to walk on top of a hill they should be visible to the naked eye. Improve the ACTUAL camo so that a smart player can choose their best camo for the map? Sure. Make it so that a D-DC atlas can stand on a ridge top and blot out the sun from 1 kilometer away and magically you cannot see him cuz he has ECM? NO! Modify the maps so that there are more places/paths for a smart player/squad to use for visual cover while advancing with ECM? YES! Break the lore of the original battle tech game and add cloaking devices that bend light? WTF? If you are walking across the map under ECM cover, and the whole enemy team is sniping at you at 1500m, YOUR DOING IT WRONG!
I quit World of Tanks cuz of invisible tanks that I should be able to see from 15 miles away but is magically invisible because the player maxed out his in game hypothetical camo effects, instead of because he wasn't making himself a target. I can run around in my Cicaida 3m and shoot players 12 times in the back all the time, because the player is bad and is sitting there in advanced zoom mode, and not situationally aware at all. Its bad enough that players don't R target things they see as it is but that's a player issue, not a broken game mechanic.
If you want invisible mechs appearing and disappearing out of thin air, go ask wargaming to make "World of Mechs" and let us decent players that are situationally aware and want something a tad more realistic alone please thank you have a nice day bye.

Oh and btw... you can see just fine on frozen city after about the first 10-15 seconds, especially when you leave the spawn area, but people that turn on thermal at the start and never turn it off wouldn't notice that and it hurts my brain when I watch people go permatherma at spawn and never change. Sure, mechs are high tech, but, you should rely more on your own skills and abilities than some sensor. That by the way is the concept of the original battletech universe... SKILLED pilots, not crazy technology.
