[SOLVED!]

1. Start PC and load MWO
2. Set DVR to record World Cup
3. Finish Playing MWO
4. Record over World Cup with something that is less boring, like LPGA tournament, the 700 Club, or 24-hours worth of infomercials.

when it still snows into May (possibly not this year) I consider that Winter. Or maybe as Antarctic Summer?
The latest snow fall on record I could find was April 21(at least in the central Ohio region it might be different up around the lake) so I think you might be exaggerating a bit. However, the snow is almost always done by the end of February in all the years I have lived here. I will still take the snow over the humidity any day.

Did you live here at some point that you are so familiar with the coaches and weather?

Oh, and to keep things on topic soccer as it should be know has some sort of event going on that is attempting to distract us from the giant stompy robots that are near and dear to our hearts. Perhaps these soccer people should move their so called event so as not to interfere with more important things?

I prefer my sport like this, but we can't have it all :(

I will never understand this Western obsession for long, drawn out fights that rely heavily on brute force rather than finesse.

Haha. So when the Superbowl was on and I was making the joke to all the yanks on teamspeak "What the hell is a Superbowl?" (cause frankly I couldn't give a rats) they didn't even understand the sarcasm.

World Cup Ole!

And we care about Soccer....how?

The Test lasts until 11pm PST, plenty of time to watch whatever big game there is, and still play. Or you could just...I dunno...wait another 5 days or so, or watch the streams during commercial breaks.
Hey, sports are a time honored tradition amongst the Clans.

Phelan Kell saw them play Soccer, and apparently their Elementals play football!

that idiot poisoning that grand old tree was pretty dang low, no denying. Plus as much as I think he is the best coach in College Football (especially since most of his players suck as pros) I really really don't like lil Nicky Satan.

I'll keep rooting Stanford, and the most insane marching band in America! (how many stadiums are they banned from now? And Disneyland, lol!)

That was bad. Really bad. My wife graduated from Auburn so that was kind of upsetting for her. I'm a Alabama fan just because I was raised here but I'm not stupid and we get along just fine.

Imagine a football world cup under the influences of HSR ... muharrharr, delicious thoughts !

Unrelated question : what´s a TV ? Can it do what my PC can do ? No? Then I don´t need it

Eh, all of you should be grown up enough to decide where your priorities are, shouldn´t you ?
So Mechs it will be, leave soccer to itself (mostly because we can´t participate with mechs, but that´d be another train of thought)

2€cents :(

A TV is what you play MWO on (at least for me, anyways).

World Cup? You mean your boring sport analog that replaces your nationalistic fervor for failed or lost imperial holdings? No thanks. I'd rather watch paint dry.

This had to be an inside job...how the hell do you get a banner that big into a stadium unnoticed???

Who the hell schedules a major playtest at the exact same time as the start of the World Cup? Really? You sell all those flags to adorn the interior of our mechs and it doesn't dawn on you what most of the citizens of the world will be doing at 2:15 PM EST on June 12th 2014?

Love to play with the new toys but unfortunately there is something bigger going on.

You may keep your hobbies. I, for one, am not a fan of soccer.

I'm more of a Hockey guy anyway but the world cup opening is always uneventful.

I always wait untill the knock out rounds start after the group play and Ronaldo get to cry about loosing out on a final once more. As long as Portugals Ronaldo or Brazil won't win I honestly don't give a ****. Go Germany.

And for you Americans out there: The FIFA World Cup is the largest, most watched sporting event in the world, even larger than the summer olympics.

Sure, I hear that from time to time. You are forgetting the most important part though. It may be the most watched sporting event "in the world", but not here. Here it is considered a sissy sport.

That's okay. Here in Australia Gridiron is considered a sissy sport. (Pads to play rugby? come on!)
