Loved it.

The prime version was so much fun. It has the speed and armor to find and get out of trouble. With the Clan ER large lasers and ER medium lasers and 22 double heat sinks I could continuously dish out the pain without fear of overheat.

The LRM/SRM stormcrow with the SRM fix...just wow. Again the speed of this 55 ton mech (97kph w/o skills) allowed me to rapidly move to firing points for the lrm's or hunt down lights with the srm's.

The last version I didn't quite figure out. Just a mish mash of weapons including the clan LB-10x. Still fun but was not as sure in my role in it.

Overall it was my favorite mech today.

If you remove the hand actuators (there's a little checkbox for it above the crit slot display on the arms) the hands disappear.

you have that option for clan mechs?!?! Wow.. wish they would allow IS mechs to do the same.

Is it because clans can remove actuators in lore and IS can't?

Honestly, I have no idea about the other clan mechs. I just know the Stormcrow can do it.

Which is good, because I wasn't really a fan of the tiny hands.

I don't care what anyone says the Stormcrow is effing fun. Heck just a stock prime is enough to make me happy.

Yeah, the stock Prime is a thing of beauty. That one really doesn't need tweaking.

how come some of them have the little hands and some of them dont?

Hands can be removed. Same with lower arm actuators. Add and remove them at will (though PPCs, ACs of any sort, some missile launchers... will all remove them as well).
(I'm late.)

and if you think ist large you haven't been sitting ina Nova, its wide as an atlas

Yeah, it makes a better door then it does a window...

It literally blocked the entire walk way up to the middle in Terra Therma....im sitting there like..GTFO the way so I can shoot these ********.

And Sup with Terra Therma? The entirety of the battle takes place around the top center flaming area.

It has more punch than the Inner Sphere 55-tonners at similar speeds and it's a lot more durable than they are.

The Inner Sphere mechs can jump and, for now, they still have pin-point ballistics and regular PPCs. They can go a bit faster if they sacrifice even more firepower. And the Griffin and Wolverine can slightly out-twist it.

I'd still say the Stormcrow's probably the best all-around 55-tonner now.

They seriously need to reconsider the ala carte prices, or offer some bare bones versions without the premium time or fluff attached. I just want the mechs, not the pork.

After the 'preorder' will be the regular sale, without all the perks. But I don't think the price will drop, just you get less 'stuff'.

Stormcrow is pretty boss. My favorite clan mech of the ones I tried.
