Lets talk Warhorns - please get us a mute button, the sounds are allmost all horrible and bring nothing to the battlefield than some comic-like unfitting immersion stopping NOISE.

What clanner would have 2 plastic apes in their cockpit, thst make noise when you kill someone?

AT LEAST: Review the sounds. strict. nothing against a victory fanfare, something that feels heroic.. but.. just NOISE?

BB - "Enemy mech destroyed"

Clan animal howls, growls, etc. (depending on clan)

Or nothing/mute.

Imo :D

Somehow I do like the ISOBARIC one though.. It reminds me of that horn the aliens use in War of The Worlds. It does sound like there's an alien race launching an assault to me, and I think that's the kind of feeling all the warhorns should have..

Link for the Tripod sound:

EDIT: the only other one that gives me the same feeling is the YARDSALE one.

They need to add a Drop-Down-Menu where you can choose between:"Play all Warhorns", "Only play own warhorn", "Mute Warhorns".
+Theire appearance is disgusting and they are terribly missplaced. Maybe place them next to the seat like those IS-Banners. So you only see them when you use free-view.

One would think PGI is smart enough to create some falcon screech or wolf howl as warhorn for the Clanners.
You know, something that is tied to a faction, or the BT universe?

PGI disappoints.

Yeah, this is the one glaring fault I see so far with the clan packages.

At the very least, make it so the warhorns aren't broadcast directly into your brain. Have the sound locational like the Heavy Metal's tune.

I only tried the Monkey one ... the only thing I noticed was the sound only lasted like 1 second ... it was rather brief compared to the Heavy Metal.

The player should be able to completely mute all of these sounds.

This joke video turned out to be mostly true during the test.

Dubstep, Whales Communicating, War of The Worlds.

And it was annoyingly stupid.

I concur. The tripods Warhorn sounds appropriate. Notice, though, that it's used to intimidate the enemy on sight.

Proclaiming loudly, "I am your worst nightmare, run and hide, you are not worthy!". Not, "I have trampled you, and you're dead, now let's celebrate!".

Mute button for the IS? Nay! Instead, give the clanners a Volume button so that they can crank the warhorns up even louder! And instead of just playing from a kill, let me be able to fire it off any time I wish!

Yep, I think that's it. At every opportunity to add to the Lore, they decide to invent instead. It shows a love of development, not of BTU. Companies that created their IP look for every chance to expand upon, reinforce and deepen that story. If PGI comes to a crossroads, they usually choose "New, non related".

If they were the whale song... yeah... that would be awesome, a Clan whale song accross the battlefield...
