That might be because they only do 0.08 damage per boolet, instead of 0.1 damage per boolet like the IS MG does.

Although Smurfy also says the IS MG is doing .8 damage as well.

Idential stats otherwise, and ammo explosion damage is still off.

I haven't logged into MWO in like 3 weeks so I haven't a clue as to what is going on with anything. Most of the CI guys were on the test server last night going nuts with the Clans. As to the TRO, I never messed with the dirty clan stuff so, aside from me loving how the Hellbringer, Vulture, Summoner, and Stone Rhino look, I haven't much an idea of what is going on with the Clan mechs. Love the weapon power, though.

Sure, let me just throw my Dire Wolf into reverse so you have a chance to get away in your 100t "scout"mech B) :D

Oh, Dire Wolf now? Yeah, you go even slower than We Steiners do in our Atlases. Never see a Proper Steiner without a 325-350 in their AS7! HAve fun with your zero reflex arms when I flank you at my thundering 62 kph!!!! :D

Thinking back to the Dire Wolf part of the problem I had with it was that while slow it also had the turning speed of an oil barge while also losing arm movement when equipping any weapon of significance. If they don't let it have its arm movement they should at least let it have a better turn rate. It Kind of needs to be like an A-10 aircraft good firepower not fast or sporty like a fighter, but the thing can really turn. With its seemingly huge center torso I have a feeling that the Dire Wolf is going to get abused to death by most IS mechs. Even some Atlas mechs are going to run circles around the poor thing, and in fact I'm pretty confident that I could handily take one out in my Boar's Head without much effort.

Mixed opinion, myself. One of the things, balance-wise that allowed the Stalker to not be too OP was limited mobility. Same with the Banshees. Both mechs melt whatever gets caught in front of them, but neither can remotely deal with decent fast medium or light pilots buzzing around them.

I feel the Direwolf with over 50 tons of weaponry is in the same boat. If it is too maneuverable, it will simply be too OP.

I don't disagree, but at least with the Stalker and Banshee they can change their engine around to help with their maneuverability. The Dire Wolf is just plain stuck. If not turn rate maybe they could give it a less limited arm movement. For instance the arm crosshair wouldn't be able to go past the weapon group markers horizontally? At least then there is a little give without having full motion.

That Sluggishness on the DW goes away when you have it Mastered. It felt good once I got it all mastered on out. Along with the DW-A's right Arm which is the only one that can have a Lower Arm Actuator, so it allows the mech to track lighters things a little better.

Real men are flawed by their parents random gene structure, destined to produce inferior offspring and decrease humanity's true potential. Good job, real men.

so how good a job did artificial "Homosapiens Parabellum" do on achieving humanity's manifest destiny, again?

The biggest balance concern I have is one shotting small and medium mechs. The XL engine builds with them may become the worse idea ever if it results in them dieing quickly. Even standard engines can be bad too with how much armor is protecting them. With the current armor caps, Mediums and lights are forced to mount lower amounts of armor that leave them susceptable to being killed in one shot from a high damage alpha or a bad situation when multiple alphas hit the mech at the same time.

Clan mechs come with more weapon hardpoints and the bigger they get the more weapons they can pack on to possible one shot mechs. There needs to be more testing but I believe the cicada is going to be one of those undesirably played mechs when the clans release because of it's low armor values and easier to shoot hit boxes. If the cicada is forced to front load all of it's armor how would it survive other fights that require it to turn around? Actually a lot of mechs right now are being forced to front load armor to increase surviability.
