Addendum:
I noticed that several Clan Mechs have Arm Lock set independently of the Game Options Arm Lock toggle (I know it's not technically "Arm Lock - just bear with it). I haven't figured out if this can be fixed or not, but it is most annoying.

I also see that the Upgrades are locked on Clan Mechs. This is again frustrating because it limits the customization available. While I recognize some of the reasoning behind this, I think that it should remain open to the players to maintain the spirit of the game.

All omni mechs that can come with lower arm/hand actuators will have a checkbox on the arm omni pod.
If you mount balistic or PPCs in the arm, the actuators can't be added.
If you mount laser or missiles in the arms, you need to re-activate the checkbox, if you want the lower arm actuator (for arm YAW movement).
If both arms miss their actuators, you can't yaw your arms, (just like the BJ, Jaeger, Stalker, Cat and the YenLoWang).

The Masakari has one arm with an actuator (the one with 3MLaser), the Dire Wolf does not come with any arm that is able to use a lower arm actuator.

I tried full screening my window and now it keeps tabbing me out. Is there a Public test repair tool that I can use to reset my settings back to default. I can't even keep the window up to change it while in game?

My Oxide has been consistently killing clan mechs, and doing 400+ dmg.

inferior cannon fodder they may be, but they can still hold their own if they don't play to clan strengths.

hmm my warhorn didn't go off on my second kill...

my sonic boom warhorn only went off once during a match that I killed two people in.

6 UAC/2's gets nerfed to hell
but i can run
2 uac/20's and 2 uac/10's with ZERO PROBLEM
12 point alpha vs 60 pnt alpha with same burst potential and which one is made unusable?

And for anyone else who wasn't happy about not being able to fully paint the mech one color or hasn't seen Polygon.. Polygon solves that.

  • Speed: 1440 --> 2000
  • Jam Chance: 0.1 --> 0.14
  • Heat Penalty: 0.6
  • Heat Penalty Minimum Limit: 4
I think I've having trouble seeing how these changes constitue "nerfed to hell"

Is it the Ghost heat that is bothering you?

Well, that was an awesome experience. No issues at all for me, my warhawk cockpit was even fixed.

Projectile speed is buffed at least, that's something. I detest ghost heat, but its a thing and so long as IS AC2's have it, its fair enough.

I really don't care that 6 uac2 and 6uac5 builds have been nerfed, though amusingly one can run 4 uac5 + 2 uac2 without ghost heat anyways. Projectile speed makes it harder to hit a moving target with everything though.

Just means mixed gun Dire Whales is the way to go.

Which I think is OK.

I do think the cooldown nerf is unnecessary with the ghost heat threshold though, TBH.

Hopefully the test server is up in a couple hours still so I can log a few matches and see what's up

because it lowered the DPS even further.

Lore proper, the DPS of an AC/2 would be 0.2/sec.
Where the DPS of the AC/20 would be 2/sec.
The DPS of an ML would be 0.5/sec.

Current DPS: 2.5/sec without fast fire. With fast fire it's close to 2.9/sec. That's after the nerf.
AC/20's DPS: 5/sec.
ML's DPS: 1.25/sec.
Just food for thought.

I don't understand why the AC/2 is even on the heat scale. With the recycle upped and the impulse reduced I don't see how dakkaJagers of dakkaClans will be a problem.

When you commit to constant fire, a skilled pilot can CT core you out faster than you'll shred them.

Just played a few solid hours.

Clan mechs feel really balanced while also feeling really strong. It's odd to say those in the same sentence but that's how I see it.

Still don't know if I am going to drop money on it. I'll think it over.
