It's probably late and pointless to ask this question if the answer to the forthcoming question is the former, but are you planning on doing a new post or simply updating the OP, Hawkeye?

I think you hit on a little gold mine with this data mining, hehe. Thank you for making this effort.

7/9/3049: Updated statistics are forthcoming. HPG uplink experienced a minor communications delay in transmitting data.

First off, a congrats to the devs on all their hard work and with how well the game is coming along. This is shaping up to be one of the better games of the year.

That said, Operation Steel Dominion has fresh forum statistics for everyone!!! Yes, it is still alive and kicking! Faction data, member posts, and more!

First off, sales figures from Founders Packs based upon number of users sporting the fancy Founders tags!

EDIT: Yes I know there were some errors in ordering. Therefore these numbers aren't 100% accurate, but very close

Congrats to PGI and everyone who purchased a Founders Pack (mine is coming shortly). Very exciting to see this support on the first day and still 2 to 3 months away from launch!

E3 and the Founders Packs have also had an impact on forum membership. Just yesterday Mechwarrior Online surpassed 160,000 registered forum members. Therefore, here is the updated forum faction data:

And finally some extra statistical goodness for you all.

EDIT: Forgot the Mercenary Data

Remember: Anti-Comstar sentiment is always appreciated

Hawkeye bro! Your stats are out of date, I wasn't a legendary founder until after your latest update! Also, I'm drunk.

You know, I have been debating this. Since I started this almost 2 months ago, I have merely been making new posts. But since this thread has reached a large number of pages, I will probably reedit the title and put in all the new data.

I second this motion. We're about to hit 190k members and I'm pretty sure that some initial doubts have been put aside by now. I'm curious how the numbers have developed since the last update. OP, can I tempt you with an Internet cookie for your efforts? :D

Obviously because he plans to get it funded by our donations to his paypal account. Why haven't you donated yet?

Finances at the moment. If I had 120 dollars I could drop currently, I would do it in a heartbeat.

I fully believe in PGI and this game, and will give them my money as soon as possible!

I should have my founders in the next week or so, as long as they don't end the program prematurely *fingers crossed*

For those wondering, I didn't get the stats updated last night for two reasons:

1. I tried to code something a little differently before I ran the stats last night, and it failed...epically.

2. I need to sleep, so it had to wait.

3. Now the issue is fixed, and it will be up SoonTM

Bryan Ekman, I believe it was said it, will go until the 7th of August, at least, and then they will re-evaluate whether they want to carry on with the program or not.

Epic failures are the best kind when you're talking about code. Much more entertaining than minor failures.

It was Russ in his Taking Questions on Founders Now thread. August 7th is the final date it will be available and they might pull it before then.

Searching for link to quote...

A few questions really piling up.

Q, When will we shut down the founders program and the ability to buy them?
A. There are some variables at play that are too difficult to explain, suffice it to say we dont know for sure but I can say that Aug 7th is very likely the longest it will run. But it is limited so don't wait too long if you can afford to. For those waiting on paychecks etc I would say we have in all liklelyhood at least 4 weeks at the minimum,

Q. how long can we upgrade them
A. I can say we would allow up until Aug 7th to upgrade

Q. Can we change our mech choice before the Aug 7th cut off
A. This currently isn't offered but we will look into it...no promises yet but we will try.

Nah I remember reading that it would tentatively be August 7th

The issue is if they decide to pull it sooner, tho with its success I doubt they will

Indeed, I am currently working in a 4th Generation language, which worked 2 months ago when we had ~90000 members. We are double that now, so after this next update I am rewriting the whole operation in a 3GL. It will coincide with some other expansion plans :)

For now I encourage everyone to go here: National Pink Thunder Outrage
