Usually just enough to barely squeak into a playable product assuming no surprises. Personally, I got no problem shilling this game out to friends to get them into Founders and keep get the game financed properly.

this, ive been doing this for weeks.

People better start playing VERY nice to each other in this thread.

This was an informative thread created by Hawkeye 72 for those of you interested in what he's determined to be as accurate as possible.

It has no relation to what we observe or consider for Beta invites and the pure negativity being seen in here is rather depressing coming from one of the strongest communities I've ever seen for a game.

TL;DR? Smarten up.

@Hawk
There were problems at the beginning regarding purchasers of Elite that accidentally got upgraded to Legendary either at full cost or none at all. Guesstimated 5-10% of said purchases may not have added to the revenue as the Legendary tag would suggest, but actually count as Elite. I don't know if such considerations are worthy an additional diagram or your time at all, but felt compelled to mention it nevertheless.

Is it possible to track the amount of NDA-breakers? Possibly which (n-th, like 1st or 14th) their post was it?

Also: Victory to Steiner!

Of course House Liao is the smallest of all the factions. That is good though! Less queue times for sure!! Thanks for the great info!

No no no, don't feel bad about that... having fewer posts just means you have a LOT more sense than most of us -especially me- to NOT get into conversations that may go south in a hurry. It also means that you have a more measured means of looking at conversations and deciding where to put your two cents. No, that's not to be lamented, Dave, that's to be celebrated. And, before you ask, yes, I'm serious, hehe.

Indeed I remember this issue. I had a disclaimer up taking note of this with the last update, but removed it because there is potential that the issue has been resolved already. The Founders estimates are based entirely off of the number of users on the forums sporting Founders tags. You can go run a search in the members section to see where I get the numbers from. I just took them and put them in graphical form.

That would be the best case. I'm not sure what exactly went wrong and why and if PGI was able to backtrack those who didn't file a complaint i.e. those that got the Founder's upgrade for free. I don't really question the Founder's tag level of people, but I think it is difficult to handle the problem with the accidental upgrades from a PR perspective. Personally I wouldn't mind if some people did profit from the free status upgrade, as it would allow PGI to keep face and maintain goodwill. It goes without saying that such a thing would be kept on the low. The result would be a deficit in profits that can't be explained away by looking at the Founder's tags alone. As I said, the difference might not be big enough to warrant an additional diagram. I'll just treat it as additional marketing expenses LOL

Btw. Is it just me or did your thread receive and implicit seal of approval from the authorities? It doesn't happen every day that Paul takes notice of lowly mortals in such a way.
