"Welcome to da hood, brothers!"

So, you don't have a Clan mech like me and many others out there. What does this patch bring for us? One word, brawling. With the SRM's getting fixed, we have a lot of obscure mechs becoming viable and a whole new gameplay style being brought back from grave.

I tried to give some pointers about how to give our Clan brothers the warmest welcome with our newly buffed SRM brawlers. It's too long for a forum post, so I'll just post the link here:

Your drive-by Commando was what sold me on SRMs in the first place. Definitely my favorite weapon.

I'll admit, you guys have me shaken up enough to reconsider 3 lrm 15's to 3 srm 6's until the min range issues are fixed on clan lrm's.

I guess once I get out there and start encountering some of my old favorite is mechs, I'll know just exactly what weapons I should be running.

However, I'm not giving up is mechs entirely. I still have my favorite and will be taking the ******* out for occasional target practice against those oh so shootable clan mechs.

Well, i feel i should present the clanners my little love.
Beware the hammerhead.
Considered i cen easily get 550+ damage per match with this beauty right now, once the fix hits the board, clanners will have to be really carefull at every angle they turn :).

I can't wait to take my 8V and 8R out tonight, I've even seen a few people running them today in anticipation. They may be barn doors, but at least they're barn doors with a lot of SRMs and a couple of lasers. It's time to bring SRM Awesomes out of hibernation.

Should be fun.

But remember . . . Clan mechs have SRMs too.

Hate to break it to you, but the way PGI balanced the clans, you're going to find a lot of clan mechs with srms and pulse lasers that are going to tear you apart with their firepower.

The IS advantages are speedy lights and FLD jumpsnipers and ballistic heavies.

The clan brawlers are going to tear you apart, because they can mount more weapons and more heat sinks and xl engines.

I am looking forward to test my Jenner D with this fix. It already has a KDR of 86/86, which is quite okish for the JR7-D I think. Let's see, if it can be improved.

Do you really need two DHS for 1 Laser and 1 Narc launcher? What about this?
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...395b7a07b6ccee7
Or since this is a SRM-thread, this
http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=5&l=99e51b200381224fe8c3dbfdc5331038d1a86f86
(Uhm, why ever it puts SRM-6 in there, it should be NARC instead)

The SRM fix is absolutely awesome! From my personal experience so far, the clan mechs are without a doubt powerful and dangerous, but the IS mechs can still win when piloted well, even 1 on 1.
