You need to organise a lance of these.

So should we get a Poll going for Urby approval to show PGi we are serious about this ?
I know i am. I think a Urby is at least on par with a locust so why not add it to the game so whoever wants it gets it finally. This game is about fun or am i wrong here ?

The big issue with the Urbie is that PGI would have to completely rework how they handle engines and the mandatory external heatsinks.

Warning: contains some swears and uncontained childish laughter. I recommend you watch this fullscreen.

I started recording for this video last week. The expectation was that I would explode quite a lot and most of the humour would come from being downright useless. I mean, it's an UrbanMech, what good could it possibly do?

Apparently, quite a lot. This may mostly be down to people ignoring the laughably slow spider in favour of more obvious threats. The fools.

So win so much win i luv the video.

Protip: get FF and fit 1x JJ not so much to amke it blatantly OP (it already is) but at least to get a basic tactical advantage for movement.

A UM has jumpjets.

Had to sacrifice something to the marginally larger engine MWO requires (100 vs a 60).

They could just make it unqiue and like the Clans; CT unchangeable and use theorycraft to explain why it works; no need to reqork engines... just code it to work.

Wife has no clue about Battletech, so I simply explained what the urban mech was (compared to a Jenner, centurion, Timber wolf, and an Atlas) to give her a little frame of reference.

She laughed pretty hard too.

Success.

In 2 years when we still don't have an urby, I know who to blame now.

Why did you have to show PGI how OP it is? They'll never make it now!!!! :D

(great vid!)

My favorite mech in one of the earlier mechwarriors (cannot remember which one, maybe MW2: Mercs?) was an urbanmech with a bunch of flamers. I remember being annoyed by the missions where I was forced to use specific mechs.

Unfortunately my girlfriend is ashamed of my maniacal laughter, understandably.
