As the match is loading up is when overall the system is stressed the most.
  • Can of compressed air, make sure all heatsinks are clear of dust buildup and fans are actually operating properly.
  • Control Panel, Power Options, set to High Performance
  • Nvidia control panel, 3D, Power Management mode - change from adaptive to Max Performance
  • Do a clean install of GPU drivers.
  • Use either AMD or NVIDIA, or Afterburner and underclock the GPU, primarily for testing. If the GPU is failing but not completely dead, a weak PSU or bios/motherboard not providing consistent voltage, this is one workaround

Fantastic advice.
My pc is in perfect working order though.
This is the only game that crashes! Even Mechwarrior Living Legends which uses the same engine runs perfectly.

the underlying directx software, literally believes that the 'device' its been talking to has been 'removed' from the pool of availability ...

if t 'only' happens during load up, I'd make sure its seated 'perfectly' .... I've had times where I've had to strip and rebuild systems to make that go away ....

the chips getting overly hot used to cause it ... depending how old your card is ....

when the game is loading, the pcie bus gets stressed, and 'normally' it never does ....

Here is my omicron log. My pc is fine, it is clean and the temps are very low. I use Afterburner to monitor all of my temps.

Its a old Bug of the UE and a pain in so many UE games since Years

Don't know if this is the appropriate place to post here, but I noticed that this very error, starting with "LowLevelFatalError" and ending with "Unreal engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost (error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG')" is a very common yet unresolved problem many people are having. It happens to any Unreal game, including ARK, PUBG, Fortnite, A Way Out, and many many more.

solutions many ,and nothing
