Guys listen up!, we have our first job as a Independent unit. I Have just finished negotions with the Lyran Commonwealth for some garrison duty.
A collective groan went up through the assembled mechwarriors, techs and other support staff
"yeah yeah, I know, but the pay is good, and they will give us free run of all training facilities of the planet, Its a small world up near the periphery called Icar, they get the occasional pirate raid, other than that its pretty quiet.
" This will help us find our feet, blood the newbies and hopefully once the contract is up we can get better paying gigs, so boys and girls pack up your gear and load up the "Magnificent B****** "( a union class dropship) liftoff in 4 hours!"
