The IS pilots are right about one thing though. Enjoy this while it last cause the next line of IS mechs will be just as powerful as clan mechs, it didn't take long for the IS to learn from clan tech

I am hanging onto my second-line gear for now. It may be that they will, eventually, allow upgraded IIC mechs, or when guilds roll out if you will be able to 'gift' you cast-offs onto a new player.

That said, I do plan on selling most of them, but I would think that the Devs would have to make some provision for those of us who have spent cash on Hero mechs. And, for that matter, there was an Atlas running around with the Clans on Tukayyid so...

I like my IS chassis, just not using them that much right now so I can pilot the clan mechs, besides I spent a lot of hours earning c-bills fighting other Mechwarriors for the right to earn more money and buy more mechs, kind of pointless to get rid of them!

IS will never make mechs or weapons as good as Clan's. You need to stop using MW4 as reference.

So do not get rid of the IS mechs

Just as Jack Gallows has posted

http://mwomercs.com/...rc-units-in-cw/

If you do get rid of them, I hope that you are just going to play clan sides in CW

In private matches, PUGs you can use them.

In CW you will be restricted to Clan mechs or IS mechs depending on your side.

If they released the Devastator, I think it could give the Dire Wolf a run for its money. Or a Mauler. Heavy and below, however, not so much.... For now.

That said, it'll be interesting to see how they balance and change upcoming Inner Sphere weaponry and equipment.

Keeping my IS mechs. For the moment, things like RHOD and other leagues may have restrictions that lock out Clan mechs or require a drop to not reuse a chassis - in a 12 man drop that means at least one lance will be in IS mechs. Having the mechs keeps my options open. Now, I'll probably never get around to mastering my Thunderbolts and Shadowhawks now that Clans are out, but I won't sell them. Plus, even if I did try to sell all my IS mechs, I'm pretty sure the Founders' mechs can't be sold.

I'm not 100% sure as I refuse to spend any more real money on this game but from what I hear the Clan Mechs have been nerfed down to the level of IS mechs anyways. I say keep the IS ones you like and sell the ones you don't. My Founders Atlas has no trouble taking out any of the clan mechs 1 on 1. Don't get rid of IS Mechs just because they are IS Mechs.

Well i only plan to play as clan, i don't like any of the IS factions. The only one i would play is Comstar (cause being a corporate owned army who believe technology is divine is very Xenogears like and cool) and they aren't in the game. So selling the IS mechs still

I don't know if that's true. I did hear bombadli say on NGNG that they implemented 80,000 clan mechs last tuesday into the game. If that is true then PGI made bank.

Im thinking PGI probably wants to do that again, they want to be profitable and they want to give Microsoft a reason not to cancel their lease on the MW franchise. So what does this mean? More mech sells similar to the clan sell. This is what i think we will see, A second line of clan mechs to include favorites like Mad Dog, Shadow Cat, Firemoth, etc. The firemoth has the "come at me bro" look to it, so it would be great. Steel Viper and Nova Cat as factions with colors as well new IS mechs that can stand toe to toe with clan mechs, maybe another phoenix pack, maybe the Arrow system for IS mechs

The "Second Wave" of Clan omnimechs should be*:

View PostOdanan, on 27 June 2012 - 10:48 AM, said:

Light: Medium: Heavy: Assault:

And there could be even a "Third Wave" or "Clan Reinforcements"

Light
- Arctic Cheetah (Hankyu) - production year: 3037 (used by the Smoke Jaguars in the early invasion)

Medium
- Shadow Cat - production year: 3003 (used by the Smoke Jaguars in the early invasion)

Heavy
- Ebon Jaguar (Cauldron-Born) - production year: 3049 (used by the Smoke Jaguars in the early invasion)

Assault
- Kingfisher - production year: 2887 (used by the Ghost Bears and Smoke Jaguars in the early invasion)

***

About a new IS pack, I'm hoping they will release later a "Clanbuster" pack, with Hussar, Wyvern, Champion (or Black Knight) and King Crab.

*as discussed here.
