Nobody is going to care about anyone who posts that they're leaving because they're too busy steamrolling in the shiny new toys they bought. They'll also stick up for PGI even with the monumental failure of this launch (*cough* playing on test, really??) because they're happy they can kill with ease. Eventually though that'll wear off and they'll be right back on the bandwagon when their $500 or $240 packaged mechs are nerfed and they're not so awesome anymore.

They'll never accept that this is a game that's supposed to be fun for a majority, not a high paying minority and will heatedly defend anything that gives them an advantage others can't get without paying even if only I the short term.

I'm not saying nerf Clan mechs. You paid good money for them and if you're enjoying how easy the matches are then fantastic. But you are completely delusional if you think clan mechs have made the game better overall, for everyone.

saying "I'm leaving for MWO for Star Citizen" is like saying "I'm leaving Halo for Battlefield"
Two different games, each having it's own thing going for it.
What?
You have some inability to play both?
You low on hard drive space?
Grow the **** up

QQ, Someone has to pay for you freeloaders out there. Mr. 5 Post you obviously havent been here very long or are some troll who created another account. Ive still watched fellow guild members out damage and out kill clan mechs with IS mech.

Ok
I'm well over 5 posts mr. Look at me I've been here longer.

With the exception of his p2w comment, his sentiment about pgi's business practices is spot on. Other than 2 maps a few weapon tweaks and one new game mode. What has pgi out out for content since launch besides mechs for sale that apparently take 2 years and the entire company to design. The new ui which was expressly stated to be the highest priority because of the buggy launch got shunted to yet another in a loooooooooong list of backburners so they could "give the fans what they want and begin the clan "invasion"
Which consists of nothing more than fans arguing about how "op" they are on the forums because they bring nothing new except tweaked weapons and pretty colors.

So explain to me how a very unsatisfied customer expressing that dissatisfaction "QQing" and being "butt hurt"?

It's not worth it dude. No matter what someone's complaint is you'll get someone saying it's fine and they are crying. I've been unhappy with the game since 12 v 12 came out honestly, and it has only gone farther and farther downhill since then. More cash grabs for low elo bads, less balance for anything.

A good example is SRMs were OBVIOUSLY beyond worthless for YEARS and they FINALLY take notice. But whatever anyone would say someone would post some low elo anecdotal BS and say "NO THEY'RE GOOD, LOOK HOW I KILLED ALL THESE CHAMPION MECHS BECAUSE MY ELO IS IN THE TOILET BOWL!"

It just isn't worth it dude. By time this game is balanced Star Citizen will probably be out, because this community is full of Dunning-Kruger effect morons.

Look, the idea to spread the clan release out over months is not IMO the best possible decision as it's going to create a lot of needless frustration. I've got nothing against people getting the mechs in a couple of weeks - would welcome it. They're stupidly expensive for cbills anyway. You get a ton of content buying the packs, plus mechbays.

The only aspect of 'p2w' comes about with the 5 month wait for the biggest/best mechs. P2W isn't simply about paying for advantage but requiring either an unreasonable grind or an incredibly delay to get access to more advanced content. Anyone who says a Timber Wolf isn't 'advanced content' is fibbing.

I get the argument. The game however is better than it's ever been.

Opinions are like ***holes. Everyone has one and they think theirs doesnt stink.

If you dont like the game, dont play it, simple concept.

If you enjoy it a lot, drop a lot of money on it.

I you play casual, spend casual money on it.

But for the sake of any manhood you have, dont cry about it. ITS A VIDEO GAME. Such First World problems. Much hurt feelings.

Most games will never be as good as they could be. Enjoy the rare ones that are. Have fun. When its time to leave, do so gracefully.

I was startin to lose interest in MWO's lack of progression in the game, now I see the true pay to win concept has finally caught up to what was once an awesome game! The Clan Invasion release has absolutely destroyed the careful balance between technologies and game play. The Clan release has basically assured that I'll be patching Star Citizen and leaving MWO along with my Battle Tech rule books on the shelf!

If anything, the Clan mechs have helped balance out the game by interrupting the constant spam of poptarting Victors and Cataphracts. If you thought it was balanced before, you were probably a poptart yourself, and doing this game a great favor by leaving.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

This is careful balance

Posted Image

And this is PGI's typical approach to balancing.

If anything the Clan mechs have helped level things out a bit. And the clan weapons are actually well balanced as opposed to the utter mess known as the IS weapons.

well its more balanced than if i was a dev if i was a dev my biggest changes would be knock downs still in all values are tt no convergence and all weapons act according to TT.

Guten Tag from Bird Land!

KAETETôã

is where you have landed

You are here because your thread was bad

and needed to be made better

WE do that here.

In fact our tireless threadsmiths

work day and whenever they feel like it

to improve the badness you tried to

inflict on the forums

Now before you think this be

a lawless land

you must see the 10 Commandments*

*for now

And we have our holy text

Sacred Pages penned by the MODS themselves

And

The Gospel of the MODs written by Acolyte of the Word RoadBeer

Also

it is compulsory that

you allow your ear drums to bleed to

I mean

listen to the

BATTLE HYMN OF THE MODS / POST LERIAN JIHAD WAR CHANT

But more than that we

strive

to make the forum a better place

to provide a place to relax

a place to worship the MODS

and the ELDER MODS

that we may be smote last when comes

the Digipocalypse

Please

feel free

to let your freak flag fly

unleash the birds of war

welcome my... people

If we did jump a shark;

It's a bitching giant shark with laser beams and burst-fire autocannons.
