Let's have actual clan vs. inner sphere battles. To help balance things out you could have two stars on the clan side vs. three lances on the inner sphere side (10v12), anyone with me?

I had an idea of a game mode. It is a capture the base / defend the base. IS Defending (with base defenses) vs. Clan attacking to capture.

(Also, we need dueling mode. And Trial of Position type mode.)

You know how to start up dueling mode? Type something along the lines of this into chat: "Does anybody wish to have a duel according to the rules of zellbrigen? I, Warrior [101011] of the [139th Striker Cluster] bid my [Nova]." I have already had several quite fun duels this way. You should try it.
As for the ToP, my suggestion is to join one of the many active Clans, where ToP's are already held.

Such a joke... it´s never pay 2 win, because clanmechs aren´t better than the is mechs... only different to play :D

New MM will be in the next patch. Russ Bullock hinted about some "features" of the next MM that makes me believe there will be some sort of CW 1.0 in the next patch.

Listen to the latest NGNG #113 podcast and see if you hear what I did.

I would gladly play 8 v 12, though only with proper omni mechs. You know, heat sinks that actually work double strength. Not 1.4 pr whatever it is.
However that will never happen (Omg omg its OP!) I would be happy to do 10V12. Though I do not see them allowing us to run a proper star unless it is a private match we set up our selves.

Sorry 'bout the arms the other day bro! I had to test out the CUAC/20. Clan mechs are still about as easy to kill as IS mechs though. It just takes practice and marksmanship.

They are maybe even slightly easier to kill. The issue is that they have much more firepower then IS mechs. 10 vs 12 is most likely a bit on the uneven side right now, in favor of the Clan mechs. But that is good as such a mode would help them balance the Clan mechs a bit more and reduce the pay to win factor.

I think they're only easy to kill now because pilots are still getting used to them. I also keep in mind that in the real world people aren't genetically modified super freaks who have the training necessary to be as scary as the clans of lore. Still though, Direwolves... Those things are NASTY! I want one.
