Lol because I didn't want flood the poll with votes that are going to drag down the value of what I'd really like to see. I only picked a few because it ultimately makes the ones I really do want have a higher % value in the poll. If people just check mark everything except for 1 or 2 things all they're doing is pointing out the obvious.

Since the poll is based on PGI figuring out Priorities, I only voted on 3 things.

What I'd love to see are toggleable flamers and mg. They're really awkward to fire unless you use a mouse button but mouse buttons are often better used for primary weapons.

Alternately, I'd love to have swapable weapon group profiles. For example I might have (A)erppcs, (B)lasers, (C)autocannons and (D)srms. At long rand I'd want A C on the mouse buttons, and B D on 3 and 4 respectively. At close range I'd want B C on the mouse buttons, and D A on 3 and 4. Being able to swap between these two profiles at the press of a button would be super useful

All of my yes. I chose hardpoint ordering as the main thing I'd like to see but Target Destroyed messages, group chain fire, auto restock, AMS toggle (as well as TAG for that matter), HTAL! Hell yes! Something I've been wanting to see forever!!

Remeber guys that these are the "low hanging fruit" types of improvements. So easy fixes, not something that takes a lot of engineering or balancing to figure out.

Tough choice... I chose hardpoint location.
In my opinion this poll should be divided in sub polls such as HUD features (in game) and UI features (out of the game). I think it would be more productive due to the big list we can put into both.

Being able to eject ammo for weapons that have been disabled.
(so that the enemy cannot blow your ammo up when you cannot even use the weapon anymore)

Very much this- I don't think we need new ammo explosion sounds, we just need the old ones back. When you heard the first thunk and shake, you might go, "Well maybe it's just a stray autocannon round hitting me," but when you hear thuthuthuTHUNKTHUNKTHUNK accompanied by violent screen shaking moments later... yeah, that was terrifying, and one of the better pieces of mech immersion this game has ever had. I'll try to scrounge up a video.

EDIT: Here we go. Ammo explosions start a bit after 5:20. You'll know it when you see it.



That said, there's a LOT in that video that I want back, and the whole thing is worth watching. I miss the sounds, the textures, the weapon effects (especially the missiles!), the way the map actually had some visibility, and especially the inverse kinematics on the legs (they bend instead of just going through or floating above the ground) and, oddly enough, the HUD font. Can't tell what we're using now, but it's an uninspiring sans-serif; the old one was quite legible, and had some nice personality to it as well.

This is kinda important , could this not get more exposition on the main page?

I only found this thanks to some twitter post , and most I know don't fallow those, and sence then when asked noone of my unit knew of this poll. It needs to be advertised more.

I think you missed the point of the thread and the original OP's suggestion. :)

In other news...

By far the most important are:
  • Customizable hardpoints and know which weapon is which arm so you can create proper groups
  • Restocking consumable (since I wont live forever..)
  • Chain firing groups
Less important but would be welcome changes:
  • Gauss rifle destroyed text
  • Toggle for chat
  • Colour coded deaths

It is stated that they are looking to set an order in which to work on them and that this poll is with the list of things that are possible to work on alongside CW. Which means that CW shouldn't be delayed at all, some of the features on the list may get pushed out before or with CW and you can expect the majority to be after CW.

Low Impact changes that can have a high Quality of Life improvement for the players is the point of it all.
