Is anyone surprised that as soon as players got the Timber Wolf they'd remove the LRM's?

Ugh I have always hated the Timber Wolf because of those ugly missle boxes, now that I can take em off I am LOVING it! Way sleeker and less clunky looking.

I know, Im probably the only clanner that hated the prior TW, never even used it in any of the older games cause I hated its looks. Now thats all about to change though.

If it makes you feel any better I also HATE the catapault for all the same reasons.

A Timberwolf without missile pods is like Christmas without presents.

Anything less than LRM15 or LRM20 on either torso looks silly

Even the 20 racks could stand to be a little bigger.

Also when you put 2 launchers in the same torso and the second one sits near the cockpit...just looks horrible. I really hate their visual system for missles they should all go in the racks. Same with other mechs, like Orion the second launcher goes where the srm4 fits even if there's plenty of room in the hump when running small lrms/srms.

I wish the missile pods would remain on the visual model even if missiles aren't equipped. You could do like a lot of previous BattleTech art has done, and block off the unused pods with covers and/or danger stripes or similar indications that the pod isn't actually loaded with anything. It's just not a Timberwolf without big shoulder pods.

I would literally never play it if that were the case.

Let me see...No LRMs, and I lose the massive side torso hit boxes attached to the shoulder...? I agree...it looks different...however, this is not a bad thing entirely...

^_^

so far i think the missile boxes are really not that bad. i have only had my torsos shot off twice so far, everyone still seems to aim for the ct. one thing im not a fan of tho is trying to run lrm's on one shoulder and srm's on the other, it looks like the mech is gonna tip over. should be same size boxes with less tubes imo.

A Mad Cat without pods, whether in MWO or TT always just looks wrong. Don't get me started on how small they look even with missiles...
