No. The BS that needed to stop was people loading up on advanced target decay and continuing to hit targets for an absurd amount of time after they have already broken LOS.
An absurd amount of time? 3.25 seconds, after having to achieve the lock in the first place, is absurd?

You fire at a target. They break LOS. So what's guiding the missiles? You have no teammate, no TAG, no NARC, and no UAV.
It's not about the guidance, it's about the idea that you as the pilot have anticipated where your DFMs need to hit, and you keep going. It's about "purchasing" experience, about moving from Green to Regular to Veteran to Elite, with Target Decay being at the Regular and Veteran levels.

I don't have a problem with people using cover, I use it myself. However, I do have a problem with the experience I've built up in the game to purchase the skill and modules -5000 XP I believe it was- plus paying 12,000,000 C-Bills for both Basic and Advanced Target Decay- taken away entirely by this radar deprivation crap. Don't take it away entirely, make it a penalty counter, not an invisibility counter.

Life's tough when you can't hide in the backline the whole match

Do you even understand the definition of the word Support, when used in a military context?

Wow that's one bad post... it needs improvement fast!
Is THAT better, sweet heart?

I was so angry when I wrote that post, unreasonably so, and I purposefully did not take time to cool down, so my ardor would be known. The module is so OP it's stupid, and it's just like ECM; rather than applying a penalty for lock-ons, or in this case the radar deprivation module being used to completely remove a lock when, under ECM a target takes several LONG seconds to lock up already, and then it's just lost, just like that (snaps fingers), is completely ludicrous, it is entirely unfair, and I say again that either modules need to be gone, in their entirety, or they need to be made fair. It's pretty obvious to me that the PGI guys have never designed a pen and paper RPG, where balance is absolutely paramount, and you can't build something, such as a spell or weapon or action that CANNOT be countered, and vice-versa you cannot build something that completely counters, either. Maybe in the early early days long ago, but not now. if it's not fair, how do you expect people to stick around? if people have taken the time and put in the work to earn something, such as target decay, and it's so easily countered by ECM and radar deprivation, how do you expect anyone but the stupid-ass twitch gamers to stay with this game?
