See chart below, the heat and damage on the small pulse laser is completely out of whack.
Apparently the forums don't like Excel or JPGs...
Small Laser 1.54 DPS 0.62 HPS
Small Pulse Laser 1.13 DPS 0.80 HPS

Your argument does not make sense without the full table...
It still better than IS small pulse but does the same damage....
However Clan small pulse is supposed to be 1.5 Tons not 1 Ton... Could be intentional...

It has better range, but it's not strictly better.


IS SPL = 0.5s beam
C SPL = 0.75s beam


It also doesn't change the fact that with the clan small laser, there is no reason the cSLPL needs to exist in this game.

The clan medium pulse also needs some love. For one ton more it has the same heat/damage as the ER with only .2 less beam duration and shorter range. Why even take it?

People will argue the same with the IS Small Laser and Small Pulse Laser... Nothing new really...

LOL, you guys are missing the point and why I only posted the two clan weapons. The small pulse laser has MORE heat, does LESS damage, and weighs MORE than the regular small laser. There is literally no reason to use the clan small pulse laser right now. I know that the small pulse SHOULD weigh more, but based on the Damage Per Second (DPS) and Heat Per Second (HPS), it should weight less.

or at least it should be like the IS SL vs SPL with the difference being slightly more damage and the shorter duration.

or leave the clan ones as is but maybe up the C-SPL rnage? I could see the damage trade off if the CSPL was like IS ML range, 250-270ish)
