Well, the sale worked (and thank you PG)! I had just recently put money into the game (first time after playing casually for about a year) to get the Jester and Boars head, but with the cbill sale prices here I decided to get some more MCs to get another day of premium time, grind out and get 2 more atlas variants (D-DC and RS), and two Jenner variants (a Jenner F and Oxide to go along with my Sarah's Jenner).

I heard numerous suggestions to purchase an Atlas-K while it was on sale to keep its XL300 engine and sell the rest for CBills.
However the exact CBill amounts involved in these transactions were too difficult for me to find in internet searches. Now that I've tried it firsthand, I thought I'd make things easier for anyone considering it and wanting to carefully plan budgeting:
Atlas-K purchase price: 6845533
Sell value of any bare Atlas chassis: 2959320
Sell value of Atlas-K, including sale of its equipment, after ripout of its XL300 engine (and arguably also ripout of that engine's two slotted heatsinks): 4245320
I went into this sale with one open mechbay, gifted last Friday, and the CBills I'd been saving for either clanmechs or new modules. All told, this sale was enough to convince me to use nearly every CBill I have to buy the XL300 engine (via the transaction amounts listed above), a trio of jenners, trio of hunchies, trio of catapaults, (already owned Atlai), drop MC on a half dozen mechbays to fit all the above, and sell my two least favored mechs (Dragon-5N and Cataphract-4X) to squeeze out just enough last-minute CBills/mechbays to pull off this stunt.
Should be more than enough to keep me busy for the foreseeable future. Am curious about what the numbers look like on PGI's end, and for how many people this rare (2nd ever?) Cbill-price sale led to purchases of mechbays (or heroes and champions).
